[PC] Crash Report (Optional):
I suspect installing Reshade and playing with reshade presets might be responsible however on uninstalling these, is when I noticed this anomaly… I tried verifying game files and reinstalling reshade and 3 reshade ini files Emperor’s Vision LITE, tabpol95’s-DarkReshade and tabpol95’s_DarkReshade_V2… I however was worried it might be something more serious as I have seen this pattern when my graphics card was failing. It is annoying and is hard to ignore. I wondered if there was a graphic setting I unintentionally changed which I havent got access to in the game…

Try uninstalling reshade, then proceed to delete your user_settings.config
. Please be aware this will remove any custom keybindings, so you may want to make a back-up in the event it doesn’t work.
- Press the Windows key + R
- Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
- Navigate to: AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
- Delete the
user_settings.config
NOTE: If Steam Cloud saving is enabled for Darktide, this may automatically restore the AppData and consequently cause the error to resurface. You can disable Steam Cloud Saving for Darktide via the Steam client by:
- Navigate to your Steam library
- Right-click Darktide
- Select ‘Properties’
- On the ‘General’ tab, scroll down to ‘Steam Cloud’
- Disable ‘Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’

I completely uninstalled the reshade and went about changing all my graphics settings to higher options I think it must have been a shadow setting that was availble in the reshade but isnt apparent in the graphics options. Back on original low graphics and its gone
