I have cleaned my Appdata files, I have reinstalled the game, I have updated .NET, GPU Drivers, and verified the files twice on Steam, I also changed the Administer option many times, I have also made exceptions to my anti virus, I have tried running the EXE manually, which does launch the game but as it not through the server will not go any further.

I will add I was able to play Darktide before the main update but now I can not play it.

Hi @PentaSquirrell,

Sorry to hear this. Could you also please provide your launcher log so we can take a look at this too?

Thanks in advance!

here ya go

darktide_launcher_log.txt (79.8 KB)

I omitted my name and Steam name due this is public forum

I should clarify when running the Darktide.exe the game will boot up go through the titles and clip scene but will end with a Backend error, This is without going through the launcher on steam

Thanks @PentaSquirrell, looking at your logs you may be having a difficult time as your system specs are on the lower end of Darktide minimum requirements, and your installation is on a HDD rather than an SSD.

An Engine Developer has also taken a deeper look and after launching a Deadlock crash appears to be occurring when creating the game window. Unfortunately we can’t identify the exact cause, but this could likely be due to streaming software or a gaming overlay causing an issue. Essentialy, any external program that might be hooking into the engine but isn’t working properly. Do you use anything like this?

It may be worth trying a Selective Startup which ensures nothing other than the essential services are running on your PC. To do so:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC

I hope this information can be of help!

Sorry for the late reply been busy at work, I am looking into these suggestions and then the EXE file to sent me I will let you if either work or if the problem persists.

Thank you
