Issue Description: Darktide won’t launch after pressing play on the launcher (steam)

Error Displayed (If Applicable): N/A shaders load and then nothing. No crash report either

Steps to Reproduce: Happens everytime I try and load the game without fail

Mission Name (If Applicable): N/a

Platform: Steam
[Steam/Microsoft Store]

Player ID: Sasquatch

Approx. Time of Issue & Timezone: London Time

Reproduction Rate: 100%
Once - Rare (<10%) - Unusual (<25%) - Common (<50%) - Often (<75%) - Constant (100%)

[PC] Paste Crash Report, or Upload Console Log & darktide_launcher.log: No crash report shows up

I want to play the game so badly. I have 180 hours in the game and love it to bits so this whole thing is painful. It’s been happening since around patch 11 or 12 I think

yep been happening to a lot. myself since this morning. haven’t played a minute today

I don’t understand how there isn’t any further help for this as I swear this has been an ongoing issue since December last year

(copy paste from my own thread where I have this exact issue) - im spamming threads with this issue to help everyone I can. Hope it solves it for you too!

fixed it

open RUN by pressing windows key + R
type in %appdata%
navigate to fatshark and open the folder
delete darktide folder completely
launch game
it should pop up and tell you that you meet minimum requirements (see photo attached)
I expected the same crash as usual but it worked fine

Same problem. I couldn’t play for over three days now.

Everybody with this issue seems to have windows 10…? Maybe that’s the problem?

@Haphazard, your issue is the result of a DRM interfering with Darktide. Fasoo DRM?

For anybody else here other than the OP, please create a new post instead. Your issues are a bit more complicated and it’s not suitable to deal with them all in the same post as it causes confusion.

It worked!
I was reinstalling my drivers and upgrading to windows 11 for nothing haha…
