Game crashing when joining multiple session

Game freezes and crashes with no error when joining a friends session or when my friend joins me. Must stop all Vermintide and Anti-Cheat processes in TaskManager to relaunch, otherwise Steam shows the game as running. Sometimes served an error from Anti-Cheat (after killing Anti-Cheat) “0x0000001”. Game works fine when playing solo.

Have attempted the following one at a time:

  • Verified game files
  • White list game in Anti-virus
  • Fully disable AntiVirus
  • Repair Anti-Cheat
  • Run game with DX12
  • Move game from Data drive to C drive (verify files after move)
  • Uninstall/re-install game (manually deleting all remnants)
  • Patch Windows 10 to current version
  • Update Graphics Drivers

Hi @Luxara,

It appears that you’re encountering a Deadlock crash type, which are a little notorious.

Do you (or your friend) use any mods? If so, can you try disabling them.

A stab in the dark, but you could also try a Selective Startup, which can help identify whether a background application is the cause of your crashes:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC

Let me know how you get on.
