Anti-Cheat just stops working for no apparent reason, and then it ruins my game by disconnecting everyone I’m playing with, and not allowing anyone to join.

Currently experiencing the same issue. Happened mid game for me. 
Same for me, I currently can not start the game. I had to delete the directories where EAC lives, run a check, then the game starts up right, ONCE. The second time I launch it, its borked again.
To be clear, last night i played some games, worked fine, shut down my machine. I started it up again today, borked. I did nothing in the way of updates or changes prior to this.
Worked fine after disabling mods, then got it during a game while having no mods, so mods seem to have no effect on the matter.
Third edit: Wife is experiencing this too on her pc.
Sorry about that. It seems that Epic’s EAC service experienced some disruption over the weekend. Please let me know if this error still persists!
It seems to have gone away, hopefully this issue doesn’t happen frequently.
