Its not a huge difference on the skins set/bundle prices but enough difference to make me consider buying one if the skins were good…maybe .
I think its still rotten of them to have these prices for the bundles tho.
New rotation: 2100 aquilas = 9.99 EUR and all separate headgears do not cost more then 900 aquilas (around 4.99 EUR)
not only are the prices bogus, but most of the stuff looks just awful. like, how do you mess up such an easy thing with the amount of source material available?
im not new. i bought the OG steel legion bundle when it came out with the weapons skins. personally i think that have been the only time the price was worth it (2400).
And now they try to charge the same but with less stuff in it.
Dont get me wrong, 2100 is still a rotten price for what you get but thinking how they have tried to make us pay 2400 for 3 items many times now and 2900 for that awfull krieg skin, I dont have much faith in them getting more “fair” with the prices then this.
now that i think about it i should probably have mentiond it in the title, will edit that in there later.
I dont want a whole skin (head, torso, legs) to cost more then 9 EUR but fatshark will never lower the prices to that point unless they get a major backlash.
yeah. i get the “the imperial guard some times recruit hive gang members” thing but id rhater look like a soldier then an angry biker with a gun.
And the cosplay looking krieger skin…
I honestly think that 1/3rd of current prices is reasonable for a skin bundle - so 700 Aquila for top, bottom, and head cosmetics.
Why?
Because there’s so many cosmetics going unreleased. Just open the floodgates, you will have people buying them all and as a company you already paid for them to be made, any price that’s not ‘free’ is a benefit to you after the game has made its operating costs back.
I actually like a lot of the premium cosmetics, but most if this stuff should be unlockable through gameplay either through the in game shop or penances. It’s cool when FS is allowed to go off book and do their own thing visually and all of this stuff looks appropriate to 40k, but who cares about spending real money on an “Original Character Underhive Mercenary” costume?
My ideal way to handle cosmetics in this game would be to make it so iconic outfits (specific guard regiment uniforms, recognizable outfits from famous 40k art, particularly gaudy original stuff, etc) would be in the premium shop and original outfits drawn from lore about Tertium and the Moebian domain would be unlockable through gameplay.
This would make it so the premium store can still milk the whales (who will shell out for iconic guard regiment cosplay no matter what) and give non whales more cool things to work toward. I also think there would be some narrative value here, as premium buyers can then be portrayed as reinforcements and specialists drawn from the Imperium’s most elite regiments, making those with premium gear actually feel special when they’re walking among a bunch of convicts using looted/hand me down gear. Once again, the way it is just highlights how very little thought was put into it outside of “how do we make the most money from the most financially irresponsible people the fastest?”
