Flamers, bombers, toxgas, barrels effecting you while disabled by a boss is still unfair

just a reminder that this is still an issue
obligatory wipe that made me mad enough to make a thread

A single mutie grab killing me from full health is starting to get old. Just yesterday one of them threw me directly off the map without my Ogryn grabbing the ledge.

Not unfair, not an issue. Being grabbed by a boss (and not resuced by a teammate) should be punished, IMO.

Looks like a bad play going into that corner, should’ve chanced it with the Trapper and gone upstairs. Hindsight is 20/20, situation looked hella stressful, we’ve all been there.

Disabling you without consequence seems weird and pointless to me. Do you want all the enemies to just politely ignore you while you’re disabled in easy hitting range of them?

it already is you get corruption if you get grabbed by a chaos spawn or eaten by a BoN extra damage is unfair. gunners dont target you when grabbed by a mutie assuming they didnt lock in prior which shows that fatshark doesnt want added punishments on disables.

trappers are dodgable and dogs are pushable in corners

yeah and the consequence is the chaos spawn taking a chunk of your HP not killing you without recourse

Your teammates were dead and you bundled yourself in to a corner. Its a learning experience. Your recourse was to get saved by your team, who failed you, or not get stuck in a corner. Idk if I would have survived that either but hindsight etc etc.

Next time you will be less keen to wedge yourself in with a spawn attacking you.

Yeah, in the heat of the moment, when things get tense, people tend to break under pressure & which leads to bad decision-making. This is one of those times, unfortunately. When things get chaotic you have to train yourself to stay calm & collective, this way the outcome will at least be better in your favor. By the looks of the video, it is technically your fault by secluding yourself boxed in with no other options but to die. We all make these mistakes here & there. It’s just one of those edification moments. When I’m the last man alive, I make sure I do have some options. It honestly never hurts at all to backtrack within the map for a chance at survival. It’s really the best you can do as an Ogryn. But yeah, I have to obviously agree that getting grabbed by a boss should face ramifications. I mean, I get it, you try & clutch, but it doesn’t work out in your favor sometimes. I just let it go & keep on practicing; it is what it is. There’s obviously actual BS in this game which should be fixed, no doubt. This isn’t one of these situations though, this is just a player error in my eyes.

It’s not a big deal. if you get caught, it’s your fault for bad positioning, and you get punished, fair enough. compared to the Chaos Spawn in VT2, this one is much easier. In VT2, even with teammates nearby, getting caught means big damage or almost dying

ah gee went into a corner maybe fatshark should sent an employee to punch me in the gut as a punishment.
the punishments for getting grabbed by a chaos spawn is having it eat you not having your entire HP wiped by a flamer you cant do anything against.
like i mentioned before compounding punishments are not intentional gunners do not lock onto you during mutant grabs which is evidence enough that it simply a lack of foresight that stopped fatshark from adding measures to medicate that

I dont agree.
Enemies purposely dont hit you when dogged because it will remove the dog, dealing less damage.
Enemies purposely do hit you when netted, because it wont remove you, doing more damage.
These are intentional and evidence enough that they want compounding punishments.

Gunners not locking on when grabbed is one small bit of “fairness” you get compared to how much the game piles on to you in other circumstances.

Yes, you went in to a corner, it was a mistake in this situation. Like I said, maybe you will be less likely to put yourself in that position in future, especially when facing a spawn and a bunch of crushers. I feel like even without the spawn you might have died, if an overhead got thru, which was likely since you had nowhere to dodge to, you would still be eating the floor.

My favorite is when a beast of nurgle eats you and then crawls into a fire turning you into the worlds grossest calzone

It also makes sense. Gunner doesn’t want to hose the mutant/spawn with las fire.

Proof that Papa Nurgle really does love his children!

and getting burned while hovering in the air makes sense?

never said it wasnt

if an overhead got thru,
you can literally eat 5+ overheads as ogryn with the HP i had

regardless my gameplay is not relevant compounding punishments are not part of the game

If you hold your hand above a candle it will burn you so physically yes it makes sense.

Please dont ignore the evidence I just gave to show that compounding punishments are an intentional part of the game.

I mean if we want to get silly with it, you were hosed with liquid prometheum. But that bit of extra-reality aside, you were still clearly being touched by the flames in the video.

at distance of 6 feet?
dawg i am not gonna debate burn profiles of hypothetical accelerants that only exist in warhammer.
I think this is another case of nerf derangement syndrome i’ve had several people jump me for saying ragers needed to be dodgable.
difficulty ==/== BS mechanics

“Enemies purposely do hit you when netted, because it wont remove you, doing more damage.

aand dogs?
again thats not the same situation because you are literally in the air away from the bomber fire and in the case of BoN INSULATED from it period

ok fine then make a chaos spawn swinging you around dissipate tox gas
