Its a compounding punishment which is what we are talking about. You say this one example with gunners is evidence, I give two examples that contradict you as evidence to the opposite.
If we are in agreement that you placed yourself in a bad situation with no teammates left alive then at what point does the game stop punishing you and the team for bad plays?
dont get hit by melee enemies while youāre hounded. and again regardless of how many examples of something exists in either case there is still precedence for it. i feel like youāre just arguing for the worst case scenario because you want the game to be harder but your way of making it harder is keeping in BS mechanics
Im not sure what you mean. Are you saying there is only this one example? I gave two sorry Im just a bit confused with the wording here.
The precedence is that the game generally punishes you with compounding damage in most circumstances. What can you show me where this isnt the case?
As @Badwin said, if gunners hosed you while grabbed there is a good chance they would also hose down whatever grabbed you which might cause less damage, so I actually think this is going against your case. A mutie or spawn thats nearly dead might die while grabbing if a gunner hosed you, causing less damage or keeping you from helping a teammate being netted etc.
The whole game and the Tide games in general are games that punish compounding circumstances. There is precedence for this and I have doubts you or anyone can make a strong case to the contrary.
I promise Im not arguing for the worst case scenario, I just think its fine the way it is in the situations we have described. I think you were fairly punished for the mistakes that were made. Your team failed you and you put yourself in a very bad and avoidable situation. I hope you learn from this horrible and frustrating experience and become a better player for it
nah its their fault for staying in the elevator for too long and getting cornered.
they shoot if the lock happened before the grab locks do not happen during the grabs
this in consistency means that they are trying to do something against compounding punishments.
you straight up are arguing for the worst case scenario. regardless of what mistakes may or may not happen additive punishments shouldnt be a part of it if they wanted bosses to do that much damage they would have.
i mean its clearly not the same being disabled and becoming disabled carry completely different mental tolls
the spawn is literally there always has been. i think the bigger issue is bursters sometimes refusing to push correctly if they target another person than the one pushing them
Yes, Iām aware of that, itās still a bad location for a spawn. Bursters are a mess, I agree. Not always detonating when pushed even when theyāve been walking around for a while, and like you mentioned ignoring your push when targeting another player.
None of this unfair.
What actually is unfair when Chaos Spawn swing you and 5 snipers hit with perfect accuracy or when deal with heavier units or boss and suddenly got netted bcs net can go through them.
The way specials act around grabs is very inconsistent and should be looked at if nothing else. A while ago I had a flamer literally kick me to death while a dog was on me, the dog didnāt get knocked off or anything.
I think you SHOULD be punished for a mutant grabbing you into a bad spot, itās fun and compounds dangers, but it needs to be consistent. When a chaos spawn grabs me itās also seemingly 50:50 on wether the flamer comes and roasts me while it does. Not sure what the deciding factor is, and it happens relatively rarely so itās really hard to even find out
I will say for a BoN itās kind of weird to take environmental damage while in its stomach. Like it just doesnāt really make sense to take corruption floor damage while youāre inside of its stomach (and itās pretty dangerous on its own already)
Its usually only when they started shooting beforehand. Iv been saved by flamers that started shooting a few times and had them knocked off by other means a few times as well, but by and large, enemies stop attacking and, if Im the last one standing, just hang around and leer at me viciously which hurts more than Nurgles rot in my nethers.
That sounds very much like a bug, not something Iv experienced myself thankfully. I would be swearing at my screen if that happened to me
Although this is BS, I feel like when this happens itās best to exit the elevator earlier perhaps. But something thatās actually BS is silent Poxes sneaking up on you at spawn points or elsewhere. This is something that really needs to be fixed. Itās happened to me actually in the past few games without any warning & itās becoming super frustrating. Now, thatās something worth complaining about.
