im slowy getting tired of the god awful perfomance on amd im also to the point of quit playing the game pefromance is better im sick of it

it runs like **** true try it on linux and it wil run perfectly i dont really thinks is the devs fault but microsoft
yea i dont think it is Microsoft fault the game is just realy poor optimize while vermintide 2 runs smooth than darktide something is not right i played it since release the peformance hasnt changed much since release
plus i posted about the perfomance drop like 3 times and they simpley iqnore it while other people also complain about it
With enough players there will always be some having problems. They have to reach a certain threshold to matter to the devs, and only they know the actual numbers. We can only make very vague guesses.
(I’m not saying that your guess is wrong, only that “I and other people” isn’t a useful value to assess the real share of complaints.)
There also the issue with all the other software people run on their systems, or how they’ve configured stuff in BIOS, or even some janky settings ChatGPT told them to add to the config file that will totally improve performance and probably are real settings and definitely not a hallucination…
Some (not all) of the people who come and complain about performance just don’t have a clue that the problem is actually their own issue. Like if they turn on VSYNC but their system can’t reliably hit the required frame rate and their frame rate drops to 50% of the monitors refresh rate because their system just can’t render a frame in less than 13.333ms.
i dont know anymore games runs like**** for me on windows on a clean install 24h2 25h2 and enterprice 24h2 all the same on a clean install just installing the last gpu driver and nothing els
i see people playing at higher settings then me on an rx 9070 xt on windows with 0 problems and they have the same CPU
the only thing that fixes it for me is just playing on linux
i agree vermintide 2 runs butter smooth but that game is also DX11
allmost every game i have problems with is DX12
even setting vermintide 2 to DX12 = problems
it was the same crap for elden ring game runs like ass on windows but butter smooth on linux
do i want more people to play on linux? yes but also no as using linux takes a bit of understanding and 99% of windows user are to dum for that and i cant blame them you expect to press install button and let it download and install then just press play and play
everything DX11 runs fine for me until we go to DX12 and darktide is locked to DX12
we can have had way less problems if they just used vulkan instead instead of the DX12
i also know we can use proton on windows to make game run using vulkan like on linux but i have yet to get it working on windows

To be fair, most Windows users didn’t install their OS either, but got it pre-installed on their PC or with the help of a more or less versed nerd in their social circle. Many Linux distributions can be installed as easy or even easier as Windows (no activation hassle, no online account pressure, no ads, most drivers preinstalled etc.), some even come pre-configured for gaming like Bazzite or Nobara. For gaming and most everyday purposes, Linux is as “press play and play” as a PC OS can be.
At the very least, a parallel (aka dual-boot) Linux installation next to Windows can provide an easy way to check how a certain game runs on two different systems, and if certain problems or performance issues exist on both systems or only one of them.
