Features & Updates the Game needs (imo)

  1. New Weapons and Red-level Weapons
  • Theres a ton of Weapons the 40k Setting/Lore has to offer for our four Rejects, here someone made a lore-accurate list of Weapons :
Steam Community :: Guide :: DARKTIDE WEAPON WISHLIST

  • And Red-level Weapons like in Vermintide, since the current ones have 80% as their max Stat the Red ones could go up to 100% and maybe have an unique effect

  1. New Maps and larger Map Pool
  • First is self-explanatory and with larger Map Pool i mean more Maps should be available on the Mission-select Screen
  1. New Enemies
  • Lots of available Enemies fit for a Horde-PvE for our Rejects like Genestealers (maybe mixed with some weaker Tyranids), other Chaos Cultists especially those from Khorne like the Blood-Pact or the Dark Eldar / Drukhari

  • and some individual new enemies for existing faction like rot fly/drone could be a boss on maps with open space, some more skins/variants of existing enemies like crushers but more touched by nurgle (or khorne in future…?)

  1. New Mission Modes / Modifiers
  • Modifiers like High-Intensity but focused on enourmous non-stop Hordes of Poxwalkers, endless Hordes/Waves so that it instantly keeps on throwing new enemies at you / a new horde once you defeat a certain amount of the old one, certain Debuffs like less Ammo / slower Toughness Regen, Perks don’t apply or so.

  • Chaos Wastes (or something similar)

  • And maybe something like holding / defending a bridge or escorting a baneblade, Versus Mode like in Vermintide where some players take control of enemies, maybe PvP Mode mixed with PvE where you 4vs4 and theres also some cpu enemies

  1. More QoL Features (just copy from popular Mods on NexusMods for Darktide)
  • Something like ‘Hub Hotkeys’, ‘Show Insignia’, ‘TrueLevel’, ‘RevealBlessings’, ‘BlessingsOfTheOmnissiah’, ‘NumericUI’, ‘BetterMelk’ etc. would be all amazing additions to have in the base-game. And maybe the Scoreboard (imo should be in the Game, i played like 150 Hours w/o it and now with it and i enjoy it more with it)
  1. New Characters
Techpriest would be nice to have and the Tech Trees of all Classes could maybe be expanded with addition of new Weapons. Psyker could also get some new Spells.

  2. Item / Crafting Update

  • It shouldn’t be so RNG as it is now, i have around 200 Hours in the Game and still only a handful of good Weapons - every time i want to try out a new Weapon it takes a ton of ressources and time just to get lucky on the Stats and Blessings/Perks so even with ~200 Hours Playtime i still only managed to get a handful of good Weapons

This is just what i have in mind what would be good, some are just ideas and i don’t know if there would be actually good like pvp+pve but imo sounds fun

Certain of the things don’t make sense lorewise, mostly the weapon list, some of those weapons would not be available for us, or wouldn’t be effective/useful

As for enemies, there is still a lot they can do inside the Dreg and the Scab, before even having to introduce new factions, but GSC would work, having Tyranids wouldn’t, and Dark Eldar wouldn’t make sense as a Tide.

Short word: Everything they want to develop will take time, they can’t pull thing out of thin air, and they’re planning on releasing things, both known through datamines and known due to past patterns in Vt2.

That’s being charitable assuming the blog post was talking about what they wanted to have and not what was actually there when referring to archetypes and classes being totally different to VT2’s characters and careers.

Yes, that’s why they usually don’t announce thing in advance, you could also have pointed at Versus

P2P hosting allowing to play any map with any conditions and difficulty one wishes.

Locally hosted Single player with your spare characters as bots.

I personally don’t like P2P like in Vermintide or Warframe when its dependent on the Hosts Connection and when that person just leaves you have to redo whole Mission

From what i know most of the Weapons should be lore-accurate available for our playable Characters.
About their effectiveness one can argue, is a Revolver realistically effective in a Horder PvE? And why does it do more DMG per Shot than Ogyrns Kruber? Those things are simply made-up Stats for the Game because its a Game, could do the same for any other Weapon.

Afaik if we serve the Inquisiton / an Inquisitor they could just provide us with a lot of Weapons and from what i can see in the Story we start as Reject but do get up in the Ranks there so we can also get more access to more Weapons as we already do via leveling up and if the other Weapons were locked for us for whatever reason then i think we wouldn’t have access to Plasma Guns, an Bolter, Flamer, Thunderhammer etc either

And ultimately its a Game and fictional Setting, lore-wise we could also defeat individual traitor marines, ogyrn can snap a astartes in half and while astartes are strong they are far from as OP as many people think they are, grenade can kill them as well and in the lore theres a ton of fights where Imperial Guardsmen kill Traitor Marines like in Gaunts Ghost and with the Weapons we already have at our disposal it would be more than possible lore-accurately. in books even the demon primarchs & greater demons are just raid-bosses for current good-guy of the story and in other 40k games you defeat them as well even alone (the greater demons)

Yes more Enemies for the exisiting Nurgle Faction would be more than welcome for Dreg, Scab and for example the Rot Fly as a Boss but those would all still be ultimately of the same faction and the majority of enemies you encounter would still be the same, new maps combined with for example Genestealers would give the Game whole new life and dozens of hours of playtime at least and even more with new weapons, if theres a good/fun weapon that alone can be fun to play with for hours

Tyranids i only mean smaller/weaker ones which could be added in addition to the Genestealers or something like a Tyranid Scoutgroup / smaller part of the Fleet since the Fleet stretches out like Tentacles on the Galaxy it could be like a small one taking a sip from the Planet if its worth sending more and the Tyranids have quite a lot Units which would still fit into our ‘power-level’ to make their own possible faction

Dark Eldar i think could have less enemies than the other Faction but maybe thats not to bad and instead stronger Units but still a lot of course like for Melee their Mandraks, Slaves, Grotesques, Khymeras, Sslyth, Wracks and their normal other basic Units with melee Weapons but mainly using ranged Weaponry, for Ranged the Dark Eldar have a lot and they have quite a lot of Beasts / alien Species like Sslyth in their service which can be used and for Bosses their Pain Engines would be insane.

In 40k Inquisitor you also solo through entire Warbands of Traitor Marines with Titans, Fabius Bile, Dark Eldar, Tyranids with Carnfix etc

In Boltgun theres Tzeentch and Nurgle (guess Chaos Undivided) and even through you are an SM you are alone against waves of Traitor Marines with Terminators and fight alone against Lord of Change / Unclean one or in Space Marine you also take on alone dozens of Traitor Marines and an ascending Demon Prince on, in Fire Warrior you fight a Lord of Change as a Tau Fire Warrior lol and those were amazing Games - if they just locked themself on whats ‘realistic’ in their ‘power level’ they wouldn’t have been so good

tl;dr add more stuff
