I would love it if that were true. But honestly I don’t think the emperor likes me much. I never get cool stuff lol. I’m hoping I’m able to get the Vanguard pack when it drops, but we have no idea when that is. So I just keep waking up every morning and checking to see if it’s there…
Other than that, or the Boulder of Bagordan set, I don’t know what they could give Xbox players that would make my ogryn feel like an actual Bullgryn.

I would be…if he didn’t make Ogryn look like a bad rip off of Road Hog from Overwatch. With everything but the TWO cosmetic packs i mentioned…
At least the chaos ogryn get ACTUAL ARMOR. Not just a booby strap, a shoulder plate and a Walker : Texas Ranger belt buckle….

Lol I love you guys. I just want to have fun with this game. These are the only two cosmetics that will let me have fun with this game. 1 of them, I don’t know if I am getting it or not, and don’t have a date to check so I’m just logging on occasionally to see if it’s there, and the other, may not show up for the next year, if I’m lucky… just sucks.

Don’t take this the wrong way or as something against you personally or that you are at fault here, but there has been quite a lot of bad blood between ‘we’* the PC players and Fatshark over how they have treated us compared to the XBox players and their launch offer, those 9k/14k (£50/$60 ish) of Aquilas you got for buying the game. On PC we effectively had a paid-in beta test for a year, with only Imperial Edition players getting some Aquilas, and a measly 2500 at that for buying the game at full cost, many doing so as a pre-order for a game we were all very excited to play. There’s also been some annoyance that we cannot opt out of cross-play on PC whilst XBox players can, something I think is still the case and which resulted in an intense and, err, ‘spirited’ discussion over the merits of controllers vs keyboard & mouse that had to be shut down by mods.
The deeper context on the undercurrent of feeling amongst some PC players since Patch 13 & the XBox release, if you're not aware of it and would like it summarised.
The week Darktide launched on XBox, the so-called Krieg skins were launched, and Patch 13 dropped was, well, quite the week, and that is a massive understatement. We got a dizzying high from Patch 13, the first big patch that put in the long-awaited class trees and generally it was a patch that was shoving the game merrily in the right direction. Joy, happiness, jubilation. Then those so-called Krieg skins were launched. These bundles were at a higher cost because, and the following is what FS claimed; those skins took ‘extra time and effort’ to make, which considering how awfully wrong they are in almost every single sense made the price hike an obviously blatant cash grab because Krieg.
That lit the fuse for the XBox release explosion, the free Aquilas you recieved. Fatshark were so clueless they didn’t even think the PC players might be miffed about this. They hadn’t even bothered to tip a nod and a wink to the PC players and a thank you to us for the past 11 months of the game’s mostly botched first year. They only scrambled to make a limited reply after the explosion of outrage here and on Reddit. Then they announced this pack, what was it, 6 weeks later?, which was probably going to be a 1-year anniversary pack they were doing anyway and tried to placate us with that instead. That explosion was not helped by an apparently out of context quote of a Darktide Discord mod claiming that pearls were being clutched.
As you can gather, the past two months have been very interesting around here. So when you mentioned about fairness after you got those 9/14k of Aquilas, I must admit I literally sucked air in between my teeth and winced. Again, this is not your fault, it is Fatshark’s for being pigheaded as a company and having poor comprehension of how to communicate with their customers. We keep wanting to support the game and we kept it alive when it’s rating was ‘Mostly Negative’ on Steam, we kept playing and kept the servers somewhat populated, despite the downsides and Fatshark just stayed stumm about it all. After that rollercoaster of a year in Darktide, the least they could have done was say thank you; this was a major patch, close to the end of that first whole year. Maybe they were going to do that with ‘The Traitor Curse’, but if they were the concatenation of circumstances in October had effectively kicked the legs out from under it.

I get that. I obviously can’t speak for every console player, but I love and appreciate you guys for…well helping build this game to what it is today. It’s not perfect, but we Xbox players do KNOW, a large portion of what makes this game fun is the work and hours you pc guys put in, and the feedback you gave. I would happily give you my 9k Aquilas for the Boulder of Bagordan pack, if that were an option. I know they won’t let me buy it, and I may not get the vanguard pack whenever it does release, but to all PC players, thank y’all. Sincerely.

Yeah, I think I mentioned somewhere in here I would’ve traded all the Aquilas I got, plus the time spent just for the Boulder of Bagordan cosmetic lol. But now I guess just wait and hope I got the Vanguard pack…whenever that releases.
