Again
Just lock this thread already. We’re clearly done here.
You should do weekly and then get the Money per Character as of now!
But that means we need more Re-Rolls aswell.
Theres too much RNG to make the same system as V2. Theres no point.
ONly again
“MAKE WEEKLY REWARDS ONCE AND GIVE ALL CHARACTERS THE AMOUNT YOU EARNED Separately”
Mission specific like Vigile Station get 6 Secondarys done. NBot droppped once tonight and you need 6. Yes, bad…
I do Speedruns aswell, but i ran with lvl 30 practically all the time or a bit less than 30. Rarely had any FNG. If i had they didnt mind and were happy for the XP in short amount of time. I always aask if okay, otherwise i leave and search for a new one
They need to rework the contracts. At the moment they’re both too onerous and promote toxicity. A contract or a penance shouldn’t require teamwork. Expecting there to be teamwork on the internet amongst randoms is so naïve from a development POV.
If picking up grims/tomes gave you bonuses like they did in Vermintide then maybe people would do it but as they don’t people DGAF unless they’re doing challenges.
this speedy/grindig 30th are even apita for other 30th.
I have a feeling this isn’t going to be a problem anymore once they add private matches.
Yup. It was already a problem during the beta and it only got worse since then.
The AI director loves to spawn crap on people who are looking for resources instead of the one moron moving ahead of everyone. Just making an already bad experience even more unpleasant. I also love how the game spawns you as far in the back as possible when you join a mission that has already started.
Terrific work, Fatshark!
I’ve had my encounter with this as well, heck I’ve been guilty of it myself.
That extra 1000 in special currency is rather appealing. I’ve now done it few times during a weekend, running tier 1 missions which an be done well under 20 minutes. It was fun the first few times, but eventually even this turns in to a grind of repetitive task, which lacks challenge and is more a chore than actual fun gameplay.
When it’s done with four, level 30 players, speed running through the level, I’ve nothing against it, but as soon as low level players gets added the team, the speed run trip should be over.
But sadly I’ve seen varies play throughs were this wasn’t the case and those who felt behind and could not keep up with their pace, who were clearly on the clock, would be left behind and potentially rescued further down the level.
This type of behavior I don’t accept nor should it be the experience for a new player, playing Darktide.
These weekly challenges will need to be tweaked, so that risk equals a higher reward and makes up for the ‘extra’ time lost on higher difficulty tiers.
Well I can’t find any T2 map with scriptures since this morning.
Actually in current rotation right now there is 0 map with scriptures to run.
Some more tuning to be done.
You literally can’t even access weeklies until level 11. Make weekly objectives require mission difficulty to be 2+. Such an easy fix.
Of course, this makes it a little harder to find script/grim missions for the weeklies - but that’s 100% because the mission selection system is backwards and badly designed - there’s zero reason for it to artificially limit the scope of what missions you can play and what objectives are available.
There are no grimoires and scriptures in T1 already. Never.
Don’t know why people would run them ; T1 or T2 is the same really and T2 have scripts and grims.
TIL, I never played 1’s - people would speed run them for mission completes though right? and “kill X dregs with ranged/melee” but you get those so easily anyway…
In fact, it’d be better to farm kills on Heresy/Malice
I guess so ? They should definitely restrict T1 based on levels as they are here exclusively for the very beginners ; except for custom groups of’course.
And as you just edited, more enemies to kill on higher difficulties.
Right now in my region were 0 map with scriptures and just a t2 appeared now.
I think the main issue with contracts and lack of rewards is that rit really keeps players from playing higher more interesting difficulties.
Solution 2, that what they need to add back it was missing, V2 had it and DT needs to have it, what the point of playing a level 30 character other then the joy of playing them or challenge grinding. if we were allowing constant level ups like in V2 most players with 150+ hours on the game would be ~60+ for there mains if not higher. Emperor drops/trash needs to be a reward for levelling up, the items need to be at level or higher then in your inventory . as when your playing LV3-5 with modfiers, and you get a item that is 350-470 compared to your 490-500+ weapon, then what the point. in the item other than farming blessing or selling for dockets.
it can be done, the bots are semi-useful (ik i will be taking some flak for saying that) but even on level 18 ogyrn shield with the bots, and the grenade launcher you can “solo run” the bots will go down between 5+ times each and will need to rescue them, just due to the unapparelled fire your going to face. if you want to try and run a quick solo at malice throne side as it has straight forward run.
the issue with that is that at D4+ you going o need some semblance of team work, if they do implement that system then you need, a rework on the Contracts as nobody is going to be sharing kills, your completing 25 missions, given each mission takes between 20-40 minutes your going to waste about 8.5 hours grinding that our minimum at those difficulties.
I made this more clear in a different post but this was before it was 25 missions a week.
Anyway my idea now is
The weeklies would just be a weekly challenge and way more of them.
Like finish damnation second objective grims.
Not collect 12 grims on damnation just finish the objective once on damnation and collect the reward.
Or finish mission with 0 player deaths.
Or finish a mission in under 18 minutes.
But not finish 25 mission in a week.
And sure they are kinda easy to finish in malice but in heresy and damnation you really got to try.
Also remove the big bonus for completing them all.
Especially important since I started playing multiple characters and have ended up ignoring all weeklies since it limits me to one character.
New players are getting booted from games by being too-slow. The main issued with Vermintide was players running ahead, now its incentivized. On top of incentivizing try-hards its also hurting the casual player. Im honestly baffled.
