Issue Type (Required):
Crash - During Play
Issue Description (Required):
This happens all the time. I have verified the Integrity of Game Files multiple times. I don’t use mods and never did. I have disabled the antivirus. I have installed the last drivers from the Nvidia gpu, as well as restart the computer and close and open Steam. I did the scan on the SSD, even when it said “You don’t need to scan this drive”.
Nothing works. All the time, i get the same error “Failed to read”.
Then sarching on the forums on steam, i followed the steps to play the game on Experimental Branch, just to be received by the “Failed to decompress:” error.
I don’t rellay know what to do anymore

So far, I haven’t had any more problems.
This is what i did:
- Deleted the folder 14, where the defective file was located.
- Deleted the folder Darktide and Easy anticheat from AppData\Roaming
- Then verified que caché of the game
It worked for 2 games. Then i visited the shop and got this error:
GUID: 1143ee33-8c82-4303-a01b-5ee35b9d1c05

After this, i did several things:
- Use the experimental branch of the game
- Delete the folder 24 where the defective file was located.
- verify caché of the files
-
- Open the
user_settings.config
At the very top of the file user_settings.config
, entered the line below:
direct_storage = {
enabled = true
disable_bypass_io = true
force_file_buffering = true
force_mapping_layer = false
}
And then play several games. So far, no problems. Thanks for all!!
