Failed Decompress Error Persistent Issue

Happens when loading in to missions or Mourningstar

I have tried the advice listed online of whitelisting and verifying file integrity, it found 2 errors but the issue has persisted. No errors found in several repeat steam verify files attempts in recent days.

Sorry to hear this.

We usually see this error occur when something external is at play, e.g. bad RAM or mismatched RAM speeds. We have listed every known solution for this error in the article below:

Please try these possible solutions and let me know how you get on!

I went through all the steps listed there today and none flagged any errors, the speeds were the same etc. Unfortunately crash ocurred again when loading back to mourningstar after a mission. I believe I followed the steps listed correctly. Here are the log and crash ID. Thanks and sorry.

@HowVeryFetch sorry to hear that. The new crash report also shows another “Failed decompress” data corruption error. It’s a shot in the dark, but it may be worth trying a clean reinstallation of Darktide (perhaps on a different drive, if possible):

I went and found more ram testing tools, https://www.memtest.org/ their program identified RAM issues after all. I’ll let you know if the issue persists once I get the supplier to replace the RAM. Thanks
