around 20-30% of ending screens result in a very long loading back to the mourningstar.
oddly enough it doesnt correlate with the dragging ending screen itself, you know the one you hammer space to skip the score screen but nothing happens.
whats even more headscratching, if i’m stuck in loading and my teammate leaves the group on his term after me asking, it “pops” and lets me load through not everytime but >70%.
Sorry to hear this. It’s my understanding, that when loading into the Mourningstar, this is done in ‘loading groups’ and essentially it will take time to find an instance and group of players to load in together (if possible). However, when loading in, this will work off of the slowest connection in the group which is why it can take longer sometimes.
This being said, it is worth running through possible solutions here:
our current situation is playing as a “standard-duo” most of the time and as mentioned above the issue is gladly “rare”
that being said, both our latency is below 40 for the most part, his connection ought to be slightly better, but ironically we live 5 km apart give or take.
i get the part where the game tries to make room for 2 in a mourningstar instance.
though its not that we’re doing something together there anyway, could the priority being switched to loading solo?
i mean we chat via discord, run from brunts to melk and eventually the map table, not something both of us being in the same “instance” provides any benefit.
plus as an odd factor “usually” if the first to load in leaves the group, the other isnt stuck anymore a few seconds later, so i guess it aint a hardware related issue in that case.
ps:
varified the data often enough to not see a connection in my personal case.
sometimes right off the bat the loading is stuck after just having all the data checked, sometimes its a couple days in without an update/change or anything.
as for the dns, to be honest i’m a bit “shy” of it, having sub 25 latency in most other games i would prefer not to gamble that for the issue above.
though i admit i’m not that savvy enough to know the complete connections and effects on one another.
