End game progression and the current state of random rewards

The game really needs an end game system, the current double slot machine situation (Brunt for random weapon rolls → hadorn for blessings and traits) is not fun at all.

We really need a system where we can work towards something, even if it takes a while, we still need something to work towards, random rewards are not good at all, specially when we have the lock system.

My stupid suggestions:

  • the ability to reroll weapon stats, then either choosing the new or keeping the old stats, maybe costs diam.
  • Adding blessings to the melk shop, with 770 hours in the game I should’ve unlocked full level 4 blessings for a few weapons rather than just 2.
  • Remove the lock system outright, or just add a diam cost for unlocking them.
  • Adding a list weekly challenges that can either unlock a blessing, or a high value weapon.
  • For fun: chaos wastes (from vermintide 2) style mode.

They are a veteran but their thread shall join the bin, the addendum to the thread to long to comprise all of it.

But yes anything more deterministic would be significantly better.

i’d have liked it if they had no progression at all, no weapon specs, no levels, just everything with fixed stats.
progression players, achievement hunters, completionists, ocd players… would not play then, but we wouldnt have any balancing, nerf-buff and crafting to endgame drama.
