Easy Anti-Cheat Outage Causing Error "EAC Failed to Initialise"

Over the holidays, our anti-cheat provider experienced an outage causing players to experience an “EAC Failed to Initialise” error on launching Vermintide 2. You can read more about this here: https://status.epicgames.com/

The issue has since been resolved, and you should now be able to log in without any problems.

I am unable to play Vermintide 2 due to an auth error? I’m not sure why this is happening as I play unmodded. Vermintide 2 has loaded slow so I verified files through steam and used the repair feature for the Easy Anti Cheat, to no avail. Hoping that somebody can help me out!

I tried to launch Easycheat to repair. Easycheat noticed Game repaired but nothing change, still not possible to launch Vermintide 2 because of the same error.

Epic Online Services (EOS) are experiencing outages atm, check epicgames status.

Maybe the problem is bigger than that. I can’t contact Steam support since I have that Easy cheat issue. I also can’t open my Steam wishlist or profile anymore.

Same easy-cheat garbage here. Created a login just to track this.
I find it baffling that a company with a game as good as this one and a team that cares as much as this one does would put their trust in easy-cheat just to have the game function.

I accidentally left my game open afk when I went to join my family for a Christmas Eve Party, then came back a few hours later to a big message in the top right of my screen saying I’m “Untrusted” now. Not sure why, because I was standing still for too long if I had to hazard I guess, however the message certainly wasn’t there when I had logged on and played earlier before unintentionally leaving the game running. I’ve tried reinstalling/repairing EAC, however I still get the same message. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you do take the time to assist me, thank you, whoever you are!
