I feel like it doesnt always select the hosts region from the mission board. i’ve had it select other servers based on the regions of the people who joined
I don’t think “Havoc selects regions”, I think Havoc games are shown based on whatever region you have currently selected. I know you mentioned that it selected others servers based on the people who joined … but I can’t confirm this.
For example, myself and a friend tried to join someone’s Havoc game, but I was seeing a different list than him. Once he changed his region to the same region mine was in, we started seeing the same games and were able to join the game I wanted. The Havoc list in Party Finder was different depending on whatever my region was set to - which I set from the main mission terminal.
Hope that helps
never really used party finder but im sure it only shows your region anyways.
my issues mostly appear when i play with people from the discord from different regions
If I had to guess, if there were 4 people who all lived in different parts of the world that formed a party before starting the mission (i.e. from Discord, for example, and not using the Party Finder), it will probably use the hosts region. I guess that would be whoever starts the mission or Havoc mission.
Just a guess though.
I’d imagine region is chosen at the mourningstar login and then havoc pools from those players when matchmaking. Just a guess though
thats how i also thought it works. but i still have latency issues based on who im playing with.
It is not host dependent, from what I can gather from rather extensive play is that it selects a region closest to the highest number of players
Can confirm. Tested as eu player with american players ranging from 1 to 3
You can go into your steam settings and change the maximum ping amount when joining a server. Goes from 5000 ping to 250.
This is applicable to all games.
