Actually few use a tactical axe. I think I have never seen one guy using it in auric maelstrom.
For me this weapon is weaker than other opportunities. This does not mean that it is a bad weapon. But sure, for me, it is weaker than a combat axe or an eviscerator.
I think this is one of the few weapons that deserves a buff. At least if we keep the actual balance.

Tactical Axe is an A tier weapon IMO. Very powerful, but not busted powerful like dueling swords. It has solid CC with Brutal Momentum and good single-target damage that isn’t ridiculous.

I think it’s better than the Combat Axe in terms of everything (combat axes are just so slow, both in terms of attack speed and mobility, and their damage is comparable to tacaxes), while better than eviscerators for single-target and knives for CC.

I like that you can use the tactical axe without brutal momentum pretty easily. You don’t get that option with combat axe, as much as I’ve attempted to force it.
