For feedback regarding weaves in the recent Fatshark dev stream for Geheimnisnacht. Theo asked the community give feedback on deeds or weaves in this dev blog, so just to save time there has already been a discussion previously made with a lot of the community giving their feedback for weaves, so I will link all the feedback and views here.
The main points were fixing bugs like GK quests for tomes and grims inside weaves, being able to play previous seasons to unlock there old frames or releasing a new season to carry on the winds of magic portrait frames and more.
To all the FS devs! Just please read it and look in to this, the amount of players that is waiting new weave season is really high right now. @FatsharkQuickpaw
The reward is the challenge, keep the toxic grind mentality to legend. Keeping Cata purely for the challenge is one of the best decisions FS ever made, keeping the QP experience infinitely better than otherwise.
Books are also an incredibly lame mechanic so not sad there’s no incentive to bring them there. Having at least one place where you don’t have to have curse resist on your gear is lovely.
TL;DR your mentality is completely unwanted in Cata, fix it or keep away from Cata and keep grinding in Legend for your precious loot.
I like books. I take them them even in Cata. (but I usually play solo so noone complains about it) Extra challenge and extra loot are always welcome… Also you should stop judging others and their mental health. This game is a lot about grinding and it is not bad to enjoy that side of the game too.
I don’t quite agree grinding is a major part. I mean it’s objectively something you’ll do a lot of but it’s also not the main draw of Tide games at all for most I’d say. It’s fine but I WILL vehemently defend keeping it the hell out of Cata.
Regarding books I don’t find them an interesting challenge. Reduced HP is fine but by taking up resource slots they just remove tools that add to gameplay complexity and decision making, and keeping a trinket slot dedicated to curse resist is awfully dull and build stifling. Again fine for loot grinding on Legend but refreshing to have an escape from them on Cata most of the time.

whoever the new director is clearly didn’t understand the previous system was far better in creating a less-toxic community.
Btw. Ive spent 2.5 years to get all those skins. I get that you wanna give newbies better loot (really ? You give red dust for events and emperors vaults for cw… Whatever). But rémoving the grind completely giving away collectibles like that is extremely weird to me. Illusions are just skins, they dont define power or buffs. Why ?

U are beyond lost with that reply, get off these forums you are obv way too hooked. How can you actually say all that embarrassing garbo just because u dont want rewards in a game? Actually Insane.
I mean you can act like no extra rewards for Cata is an omission not a clearly intentional design choice but it’s not very convincing. I don’t think I laid on my perspective as any more inherently correct as you did for your own with your initial comment I responded to.
It’s also still a paid DLC difficulty which adds another layer of dubious to giving it better rewards.
I’ve been around here and in game long enough to know the current choice of no extra rewards for Cata is a pretty popular one, so advocate away for more rewards, I don’t see that getting much traction whether I bother to argue this with you or not
Just chiming in to say that I have the same opinion as alsozara. It’s also the consensus among the people I play(ed) with.
The grind is the worst part of the game and is one of the reasons why this game has such a low playerbase.
The comment you are referring to discusses weapon skins and how it takes a long time to acquire all the skins in the game. With the update (which will drop a new skin every time it can), this feeling of accomplishment will vanish. Now, 5 red S&D drops will give you all the possible non-event skins for S&D. This is not connected in any way to power levels or anything; it’s just cosmetics. Collecting all cosmetic items in the game feels like a small accomplishment, but with this change, you can obtain all these cosmetic items in a very very short time.
How can it be a accomplishment when you have to grind over and over and get the same skins you already have just because of a random factor. Its not an accomplishment when its luck based.
When i got all reds, all illusions, all skins from Lohners shop and did all okri challanges, did i feel free to enjoy the game for its gameplay. I hated the grind and im sure there are more players out there who hate grinding than there are players who play Vermintide for the grind.
If i see how many players Left4Dead 2 still has without any of this grind and how few my beloved Vermintide then i feel anger about all this grind. It shouldnt take thousands of hours to get everything in a game but max 100 h. I believe Vermintide (and Darktide) would benefit in the long run in playercount and steady income (skins shop) the less grind it would have.
