Dear FatShark, how hard is it to make to a game, that when you press the fire button, you fire?

That’s another good point. Jitter, the measure of variation in latency is also a factor. Having an average of 100ms latency, that only varies by 5 ms is much better than am average of 50ms latency that varies by up to 25ms.

Some online speed-tests have some jitter and Packet Loss tests e.g. https://speed.cloudflare.com/

But OFC all this is to the test server.

Sadly ppl sill only look at transfer speeds (evidence in this thread) and never at the other much more important factors for smooth gaming.

and yet the majority seem to be not encountering it. im no expert here last time i had any sort of inside info on how all this works was back when i ran q2 servers for wireplay and got to tour the BT facilities thats over 3 decades ago :wink:

just seems to me if it were the game itself everyone would have issues, it definitely asks more out of the network than most games you see a lot of people that only have problems in DT.

Poor gpk forever known as the barrel lord.

I use it…
and still I get poxbursters that I never can push cause the game refuses to register my action and other great connectivity problems…

@Stompt @Haiboku I’m gonna ask y’all to stop derailing the thread/trolling.

@gpkgpk please don’t feed the trolls, just report and/or block and move on.

That is so annoying, especially when they turn in mid air…

Or the pox bursters you push 18 times, that refuse to pop.
