Locks, and crafting in general, have been discussed extensively since the crafting patch was release - it’s been anything but under-discussed :joy:

I think you need to add an /s in your title since people seem to be missing it. The criminally under-discussed part, not the locks part.

Its talked about all the time but since fatshark refuses to do anything and the issues arent apparent until youre well over the refund time limit most new players dont talk about it, and old players are jaded to all hell.

The RNG involved in getting a high base score item with good stat distribution is actually a lot worse than the locks. The locks are just the cherry on top of the crap cake.

It’s over discussed. So much so that we get like one or two threads a day on it. If you die in Darktide, there’s like a 99% chance that you died due to someone doing something wrong or the AI director going bonkers. The remaining 1% is on equipment rolls.
