I’ll humour the nonsense. What, pray, IS that “other girl” supposed to even be?
imagine the disappointment the moment the horny girl grabs between them legs only to find the place empty.
guess the metaphor rather looks like this right now.
i still enjoy the game, wouldn’t dwell here if i didn’t, don’t even expect a statement at gunpoint at the moment.
but eager motivation being met with asolute silence isn’t something to get your mood up for the future.
its like your favorite restaurant going broke not because the chef was arse but the waiters refused to give out menues or offer tables.
You know i was writing an answer to that… But it was so cringe i couldnt do it… Im sorry i failed you.
Maybe someone else can write the hot steamy “fatshark x community” fanfiction, im not up to the task.
Best i can do is this (without my brain imploding from cringe and shame) :
We want shark to only look to our loose, open and cheap crafting
What fatshark figured instead is that we want a chastity belt.
An April fools joke would require the dt team to actually post something like that on time.
Something they’ve recently proven completely incapable of doing.
So I guess the real April fools joke is fatshark themselves.
If there’s ever FS x Community shipping, it should be a date where Fatshark no-shows and then cancels a few hours in via text after having ghosted us for weeks.
All this, of course, to say: They held off and it was the right call.
They could have afforded one if the Penance rework was well received, but they couldn’t even manage to get a post out in time. Any April Fools joke would have been absolutely swamped with a withering combination of overreactive vitriol, legitimate complaints, and lots of comment on, and discussion of, both.
This is… incredibly petty and whiny.
No wonder FS would rather entertain the Vermintide crowd today instead of you guys.
I think this thread has revealed that my enjoyment here is entirely independent of Darktide. Expecting seasonal announcements is a bit needy and concerning. I hate when companies force banter or start pandering for “engagement.” Stick to pretending to develop a good product instead of motivating your niece to write vague patch notes and saucy dev blogs.
Yeah, it’s pretty empty.
Sure, some old fags are still waiting for the weather, but it’s far less crowded compared to 2023.
Oh man imagine they’d roll out the patch, where Brunt only sells 380’s with perfect stats. And then April 2nd they remove every weapon bought this way.
Not wrong…
Level 16, close to 17… at level 18 I will finally get the quasar canon. And I miss still 120 medals to get the Las-7 Dagger…
Finally one game that reward you the time spent on it.
That game also entered maintenance mode pretty early, I’m not sure what your point is. Just because Fatshark keeps doing it doesn’t mean it isn’t that. I’m just a little tired of pretending Fatshark operates on a different time scale from other devs… they don’t, they just scale down development immediately and then let the game ride. The once a year moderately sized update is the result of that
They’ve basically ghosted us for 5 months, I finally had enough when they delayed a devblog that they already gave themselves ample time to write up before their own set deadline (correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that it was approximately 100 working hours), so where have YOU been? Seriously, I’ve been putting up with this utter nonsense non-stop for YEARS. I’ve defended Fatshark as much as I possibly can. I’m exhausted. I was finally truly excited for something for the first time in months when they announced that upcoming devblog (Catfish even opted to read my geeky Darktide weapon wishlist) and they’ve taken and squandered my hope for the time being because of these recurring mistakes. If that’s petty and whiny, then call me petty and whiny.
Why do all of you guys suddenly want 1st April jokes?
You’re just ragebaiting.
I know for a fact that an 1st April joke would have been torn apart with anger, because “You got time for 1st april joke, but not for the update”.
And to be honest, I’d would have felt sort of offended by a 1st April joke, too. I’m glad they didn’t do one. This dumb tradition deserves to die honestly.
Not really. Ghosting would be complete ignoring and silent treatment. They do post here and there what’s going on. People are just used to top tier communication from a handful of companies in Gaming like Devolver Digital and now expect it everywhere.
Agreed. Let’s be real, the mood in this community is ugly and will remain so until this game gets brought up to standards.
It will remain ugly beyond that. The well has been poisoned, nothing that can be done really.
I disagree. People were genuinely happy and hopeful here for 1-2 weeks after ‘What’s Coming Up in Darktide’ dropped.
Fatshark would just have to communicate and update the game at a regular pace. You know, like other studios in similar conditions do easily.
So why did they stop? There is no changes to the plans they announced. We get new cosmetics, new penances and then thereafter they look at crafting. We got one screenshot of top showing us that this barren corner in the Mourning Star will finally find some use, too.
I don’t get it.
Because without rapid and sustained communication, people lose hope and go off on tangents, and without some actual meat to the statement, once the hope and excitement wears off its back to the same old ‘game broke when news’ stuff.
You want to keep people happy? Keep showing them new things, keep updating them (in more detail than just 'we’re doing some update of some kind to penances first, then doing something to crafting), and start letting out patches at a rapid pace.
Don’t go ‘yeah we had 2.5 weeks to tell you literally anything when we set this deadline for ourselves but can’t be bothered to actually write the dev blog, have a screenshot and 2 sentences’.
When your closest comparison is Arrowhead Studios and they manage to give out weekly updates, and while you were failing at writing a blog post they managed to drop 2 new enemy types, 2 new weapons, and adjust the Galactic War…you aren’t going to look good. But you can at least try.
