U guys are making a step in the right direction with the upcomming update, but by removing it from gamepass u give me absolutely no reason to buy the game fully on steam. U see, i played this game since the start and it was fun, until i reached the lv 30 cap and then the point of playing wasnt there anymore. And after this the situation got worse and worse, because u gave us no roadmap no update and no comunication at all. But all this is history and it was discussed in so many other threads. In my opinion u build the perfect base for a awesome game, but then left it and let it die. This makes me very very sad! After almost 2 years i dont want to wait anymore. and im not buying the game because theres a really big chance that you make a post one day about u shut the servers down because “noone wants to play the game”. As a player and enjoyer of your game i feel helpless, betrayed and ignored.
ps. i dont want to start a toxic discussion here, this is just my opinion and im wondering what u guys think about that.

I could be wrong but I believe that is something to do with Microsoft and not a FS decision, but could be wrong.
You can pick it up cheap as chips these days. Worth every penny imo, but up to you.
I don’t know the details as to why you would keep it on game pass or not, but assuming you don’t lose your progress that would be no big deal to buy it.
I would just look at it as whether you think you will get your dollar value out of it. If you make X dollars per hour, and have x budget, and you think you will get Y hours of happiness out of it…
I have never used game pass to be honest. I just do the good ol’ 2 hour trial period on steam and return if I don’t like it.
If this is indeed leaving game pass, it likely means the console exclusivity period is soon ending, which lends further credence to a PS5 release being on the horizon sooner rather than later.
Can’t you buy the game on the microsoft store and keep the gamepass account ? As it’s the same account
What’s your bet on a Playstation release by patch time? Or, at the very least, that they’d intended on one and might not have it done in time, as is The Fatshark Way?
Yeah, I did this with xbox VT2 forever ago…picked up the game for $7 when it was on sale like 3 months after leaving GP. No loss of nothing.
Probably not. Seems like if they were this close to a PS5 release it would be listed somewhere for pre-order already or something.

26th September is also fast approaching which sounds like it has a mission and a whole bunch of stuff bundled with the crafting update. Surely that’s a good reason to buy 
I’m addicted to the gameplay so I’d buy it anyway, although it has been the one 40k game that has truly rekindled my 40k love with gusto…so much so that I’ve started painting the miniatures again. Ironically this is now taking up all my spare time until the 26th arrives so I’ve not played much in weeks 
Thats actually very unlikely given that both V1 and V2 are still very much playable, although they host the DT servers which does put the game in a slightly different position.
Not many people play the same game after 2 years. I do, but most of my friends dont. They tend to move on after 6 months or so, some of them even after a month!
Im gonna play DT for a long time because I like the base gameplay loop which most people dont, they seem to need a constant flow of content. It is sad there is no roadmap to pull more people in but for me personally that doesnt matter.
You could always just forget about it for a couple more years and by that time Im sure there will be a few more updates and interesting things to make it worth picking up again for at least a while.
It might also come back out on gamepass after some time? Idk, I dont like gamepass or the equivalents.

Love how even the Xbox System gave me a pop up “hey this game is leaving the gamepass at the 30th” but all other posts have since removed any mention do not show it. First time ever I’ve seen confusion about this kind of stuff.

but seriously, the meaning of games like darktide is improving yourself to perfection and clear higher obstacles while being an active boon to the team.
there will never be enough “content” to satisfy this ill perceived demand.
i mean i’d be happy to have new maps every 3 months but lets stay realistic.
and the point reaching lvl 30 was the “goal” is telling in itself.

i saw darktide on steam, loved it from the first second, checked the perfomance on my old rig, bought a new one exclusively for the game at the time and had the best 1200 hours in the past 10 years.
and i didnt regret one cent of what i spent.
