Whatever their current SFX is pretty much gets covered by everything else on the rare occurence when it plays. They really should have loud lines like bombers/trappers/flamers.
Agreed. It’s one of those QOL things for an enemy that can oneshot you and has no windup sounds.
Yeah need to be like chaos warriors from VT you could hear their taunts and stomps so much easier
Yeah stealth crushers are literally THE most dangerous thing in the entire game. Trappers and dogs get super loud and obvious sound ques and they are infinitely less dangerous than a instant kill.
Crushers need to shake the ground with their massive bulky steps and scream insane ogryn things. Why are chaos corrupted ogryn’s mute while our ogryn’s are constantly screaming at the top of their lungs?
The lone guys have call-outs for the specific character they aggro on. At one point my play group had a rule that you had to 1v1 any CW that called you out.
But even just that sort of thump sound you get when one aggroes on you would be really helpful.
Its such a low echoing growl that it can be hard to hear, definitely some remastering of its sounds it makes can help
That’d be a pretty cool feature for DT, but callouts would probably be difficult due to no class restrictions and I doubt anyone bothered to remember what personality they chose.
Instead of “Southlander!”, “She-elf!”, or “Dwarf! heheh” you’d just have ogryns saying “punies!”, “runts!”, “sparky!”, " 'eads up!", “ogryn smash!” and whatever. Specific to archetype maybe if it’s specific at all (they would at the very least call out ogryn players differently than human players), but definitely not personality as the chaos ogryns neither know nor care what our personalities are.
It’s less about personalization in this case and more about an audible warning.
You dont get it, they are shinobi crushers designed to sneak in your back.
Its like NASA all over again, but maybe future armor is super sneaky and sound reductive.
Well you see it’s clearly explained in lore. Carapace armor is made out of plasteel, as the name suggests a plastic with the properties of steel. So clearly it must also sound like plastic boots.
This is mostly sarcastic but allow me a side tangent. What the hell is plasteel? Most things that are shown or described as rusty are made out of plasteel, or other times clearly metalic things that spark and bend are called ceramite. Neither rust as they are both synthetics that contain no iron.
So the rusty interior of the Valkyrie here? I guess some tech adepts were bored and decided to mess around with some dirty down rust paint to make it look cooler lol.
That rust stuff on the Valkyrie is probably just a thick layer of grime that no one’s bothered to clean. The Rejects are tracking in blood and guts from who knows what all the time, plus the atmosphere of a factory world likely isn’t the cleanest.
The rust on Atoma itself can be attributed to Nurgle rot.
This would be a fine explanation if it wasn’t on the ceiling and didn’t clearly look like rust.
It seems to only be on the in game model, the loading cut scene one is much more clean for whatever reason. But the one in game is almost entirely covered in rust including on the outside.
Sorry sometimes I wipe the guts off on the ceiling its closest to Ogryn and outside is like good back scratcher… =(
