Agree with this. I like crossplay just fine. I mostly do auric maelstrom stuff and pickup games go about the same as before the big patches; afaict player skill still tracks pretty closely with their “true level”. But it’d be good to know who’s on which platform. Maybe include a little icon by the player’s name that shows the platform they’re on? I know Rocket League and some other big crossplay games do this and it’s good info to have
I just want to say that I used to think the same about controllers, until finding out that one of my Darktide friends who’s also easily the best player I’ve seen in it since the game released? He’s using a controller. And we both do T5 Aurics/Maelstroms exclusively.
The new players have been stressful ofc. But it’s already clearly way, way better than it was a few weeks ago. New people are a part of games, they benefit all of the community by helping the game prosper, giving more content, more frequent patches, and more people to play with in general. Sure we have to carry and clutch a lot more than before and sometimes you see a lot of frustrating mistakes and willful ignorance in a short time. But if it gets too much you should play with friends or take a break.
We all started new. We all did tons of mistakes before learning better. We still do. Nobody ever enters T5+ ready, they get there with experience. This problem will get smaller and smaller with each day until it goes away. :>
