Oh no, I am a part of the problem
I have also shared this “Configs”, as I have tried it and it magically worked, all my frames were back!
I had like 10 before and then all my 60!
So naturally I shared this knowledge with my fellow Regects, and I have misinformed them that it was Ray Tracing that was turned on and not just rt_reflections_enabled
and rtxgi_enabled
being True instead of False.
Well, it did not lead to anything more severe than just misinformation on Ray Tracing and worse lighting, also, it did improve Frames for many people who were on the Low-end PC, specifically those who’s GPU do not support Ray Tracing at all:
(This is RT related if you think about it)
You are wierdly bad at explaining your point, but you are right that it is not ALL of Ray Tracing, just these two settings.
I am still pretty confused on what exactly caused my game to have 15 FPS, but turning Frame generation off helped me, I also did the good old halfing of numeric settings in the config, but still not certain.
Also, I would encourage people to try to optimize the config file, not like it can destroy your game forever, and for the comfortable configuration I would recommend to save the previous working config file, I have suffered a lot rewriting it 6 times yesterday…
(Darktide were re-detecting my optimal settings and resetting it everytime, I would guess it’s because of graphics_quality setting being not the one it set, not sure tho, have to check again sometime)
