Crashes loading player settings from start menu

Issue Description:
On PS5, i would load the game up, go thru the credits and hit “press X to start” i see loading player settings and it immediately crashes. I EVEN deleted the game and redownloaded it and its my personal settings nothing else since i tried it without my saved game data and it will load up properly just fine into the keep but not with my data

Unable to provide cause is its on a console which is dumb!!!.. but i do have the error code and system code

I have sent error reports with video thru PlayStations error report but i dont know if you can access those

Load game with corrupt settings i suppose, literally all ive been doing is just loading into the start menu and crashes upon loading settings

Reproduction Rate:
Once - Rare (<10%) - Unusual (<25%) - Common (<50%) - Often (<75%) - Constant (100%)
100% constant

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload user_settings.config:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2
  4. Locate the user_settings.config in this directory
  5. Upload here

Sorry to hear this.

The issue here is with your save file - it’s very likely corrupted and causing the crashes. A data corruption message should show in this scenario, but it may not be for some reason. It’s something we’ll need to look into.

Importantly, do you play in Online mode or Offline mode?

If you play in Online mode, then you will be fine to delete your save file (this only includes settings and offline data) as your progress is stored on our servers.

If you play in Offline mode, then regrettably we would be unable to resolve this issue, and your progress would sadly be unrecoverable :frowning:

Thank you this helped, i wasnt all to sure with deleting my data as i have 1776hrs and with it being console and cloud data, i didnt want to risk losing everything unless there was no option but to start over, thank you kind sir
