Crafting/Store Suggestion (not directly about RNG)

Putting away discussions over locks and grind for a moment, wanted to look at potentially something new.

I don’t find it a coincidence that many who complain about crafting (although certainly not limited to) play psykers frequently (or are trying to get specific combos on them).

A tactical axe, which seems to roll frequently in the store, only has 6 blessings to choose from (according to games lantern). A force sword has 12 (dark mass had 13 but they aren’t around anymore for me to use). This is a big difference, and force swords seem to roll infrequently.

If you already possess a 360 force sword/staff of your liking brunt’s armoury is not a good place to go. 280-380 is a wide range and 370+ is quite rare.

So for most it’s back to using store apps to hunt for the weapons/curios they want. Unless they have a ton of resources to burn.

A suggestion would be another store front tab. 1 is for general items that are common among classes (keeping the whole shared resources/inventory conversation out of it for now) in one tab but class specific weapons in their own tab. Eviscerators, bolters, flamers, staves, force swords, power swords, etc.

^this is also important as new classes come out. There, presumably, will be even more “unique” weapons that will continue to dilute one another if the weapon store continues at the rotation it’s on and the total number of items in the list. If we had 15 classes like from Vermintide 2 and trying to get a weapon that is unique to one of them, I could only imagine how annoying it would be (aside from just getting a low-moderate from brunt’s).

I am not going to talk about locks, chances, grind, etc. Directly as we have enough topics on those. But I feel like this would at least help mitigate some of the pain of needing to increase the amount of weapon types thrown at the players especially when:

A.) Some seem rare to spawn in the stores
B.) Some have double or more the blessings of other weapon types.

I think something may need to be worked on the blessing front in general to either give all weapons the same number of blessing types, maybe by adding marks which have different blessing pools of the same weapon type, remove blessings no one wants, add more, or add some blessings to the base functionality of the weapon/mark (like deflector on force sword). I think having all weapons have close if not the same number of blessing pool (and all tiers otherwise it needs to be clear which blessings only exist in what tiers) makes it easier to balance grind, otherwise hunting for weapons with specific blessings combinations will feel more punishing to some players over others.

Addendum: it would also be good to swap between tabs in the store front to buy for your other characters without needing to sit through loading screens just to check and buy one thing for them but not actually play them.
