Issue Description (Required):
60 fps most of the time but can start to drop to 45 during hectic auric fights after about 5 runs where the game has large lag spikes when large amounts of enemies spawn in.
My main question is my current cpu 9700k is an 8 thread. Would there be any advantages by going to the i9 9900k that has 16 threads? Or would the game not take advantage of these? Both chips have 8 cores and are basically the same.
Platform (Required):
PC - Steam
[PC] PC Specifications (Optional):
I7 9700k 8 core 8 thread, 64g ddr4, 3070ti ssd drive windows 10
No, the game is currently at a rather pathetic performance state that was self-inflicted by the Hive scum patch, buying new stuff to compensate for people doing less than ideal job and going on vacation can wait.
Give them few weeks to fix it!
On the side note there is no guarantee that i9 would be any different
On my end that was fixed by disabling mesh_streamer, enabling reBAR might be a good idea as well

Causes a deadlock crash when i try loading into the Mourningstar (or even Op select), rip
If you already have both chips, the 9900K has more 33% L3 cache which would help with the 1% lows. The multi threading could help background processes a bit too. The 9900k also clocks a tiny bit higher.
I would not go out and buy a 9900K though… Save up for when the AI slop bubble pops.
Nyo. This game requires either a modern CPU with DDR5 or a processor with a large L3 cache like 5800X3D. Increasing the threads will definitely not make your fps better. If you have the opportunity, try overclocking your RAM.
