Cosmetics continue to be vastly overpriced

If I buy a pack of smokes or a bottle of liquor, it will cost me about the same amount of a skin.
Both are optional and considered expensive to some.
I think it’s all a matter of opinions, so at the end of the day I’m still gonna buy skins I like.
I’ll buy two if it means spiting people who constantly whine about optional cosmetics (while the game has plenty of free skins).

Everytime I’ve seen a cosmetic that I would buy (even if not 100% to my taste) I’ve been throwing 2$ into a jar meaning to buy something that would make me “touch plastick” (dogs pee on grass).

Here’s what I’ve bought after 6 months (there was X-mas sale so I’ve saved 100$):

I think I have some of the highest play time/Aquillas spent and even I am not going to bother restocking my Aquillas ever again. Probably spent close to this game’s LE purchase price twice and 2300 hours. I do not think that they should be pricing up all the cosmetics sets into the 3000-4300 range to exploit a Warhammer fan’s desire to kit bash properly. My uniform hats should not be seperate purchases; this is getting despicable. Its outright hostile to a fan of the minatures.

What are everyone’s thoughts on vet new set?
I’m honestly surprised to see vet get another regimental outfit (Valhallan Ice Warriors) rather than another reskin
Would I have liked to have seen the leaked scion cosmetics but I guess the snow regiment and everything else this fortnight being winter themed makes a lot more sense considering the month.

Course in typical Fatshark fashion the hat you’d want with the set (the ushanka) is sold separately from the set
At least it’s not as much as it’s the same hat as the bundle one but in red for 14 dollars last fortnight.

@FatsharkStrawHat Hello , why is this set 3x the price?

That pisses me off. There is definitely a commitment to scam people now.

Obviously we gotta bank roll some content development. Too bad we don’t have play station users to help shoulder the burden of money pushing this time around. I’m sure the stipend Phil Spencer pays to deny other sources of Warhammer fans is worth it.

Most of us Bethesda fans didn’t really expect anything big out of Starfield until last minute with that cool reveal showcase that they did… then it turned out that Bethesda basically showed the entire game off in that one showcase.

Bethesda will not survive if The Elder Scrolls 6 isn’t completed on release. We Bethesda fans may be extremely resilient due to our love-hate relationship with Bethesda, but few (if not none) of us will be very impressed if The Elder Scrolls 6 comes out in the currently projected timeframe (2027-2029) unfinished.

Making fans wait nearly 2 decades for a sequel just to release it in an unfinished state would almost certainly be a near-fatal decision for Bethesda to make, and they’d better realise that sooner rather than later.

Ah, that’s where the famous “cheap bundles” went. A friend of mine and I had wondered if Fatshark had ever had the nerve to bring them back at an inflated price. Looks like they have it after all.

Please, gentlemen, tell me now that this is not expensive, or that it is “ok” for it to be expensive. The same, identical skin at triple the price.

Come on, let’s defend this honest business.

I gave up on Bethesda for good, both with The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Fallout in particular was the hardest blow for me, because I loved all of them from the first to New Vegas.

But in the end I gave up. I no longer expect anything from any medium to large sized gaming company.

I’m not a fan of battle passes but chivalry 2 has a battlepass you can buy that never expires , and you can buy even the old ones and i’d prefer that model over a 3x price increase on recoloured cosmetics and them seperately removing the iconic helmets from the big sets as seperate 900 aquilla cosmetic. They are a buisness and need to make money , I understand that but the way they are choosing to achieve this is disgusting selling old cosmetics with a different colour and yet another loincloth facerag for 3x the price.

I used to be upset with their pricing as well and for me they are prohibitive. FS could have made a lot more money on me with lower prices and without the FOMO mechanics.

But I realised I‘m simply not the target audience. Simple as that. And as they are continuously raising the prices their business model probably works.

I started ignoring the cash shop as the game is so fair to offer reasonably cool cosmetic via commissary and penances. If their current strategy at some point doesn’t yield the necessary income anymore they’ll have to change their target audience and maybe will offer stuff I‘m willing to pay for the prices they charge.

TLDR
Pricing is a purely economic decision. If you aren’t willing the pay the price you’re not the target of the offer. If the pricing strategy doesn’t change it probably works. So either accept the price or ignore the cash shop. I choose the latter.

Yeah, it’s an economic decision, which however has repercussions on everyone. I didn’t want to quote myself, but this is what I wrote in post no. 140:

Absolutely correct - and thus FS has no incentive to lower the prices. Getting all emotional about it won’t change that.

For out own peace of mind it‘ll be helpful to accept that if FS doesn’t need your money they won’t change anything to get it.

And they certainly won’t change if we passively accept everything. But I agree that there is very little that can be done, it is now too big a trend, and getting emotional only causes more disappointments.
My Krieger friend, we need the stoicism of your Death Korps!

Fatshark dont really care about poor people, you gotta realized that there alot of RICH people out there in this planet, fatshark made ton of money without a problem

It only took people over a decade that Bethesda games are nothing but incredibly simple slop.

I guess a game without iconic brand name to back it up really didn’t do Bethesda any favours, looking at fallout 76 and how it still sustains itself the modern fallout fan doesn’t have the simplest standards as long as it has the funny iconography and name on the box.

Halo infinite does that too
Also you can earn enough funny bucks to buy another battlepass from it.
