Issue Description:
Corruption Resistance (Grimoires) on Curios is not working.
I equipped three +15% Corruption Resitance (Grimoires), but there were no difference whatsoever.
I am also at 30% Corruption Resistance from Grimoires and can confirm it does nothing. Individuals with just the normal Corruption Resistance seems to be working as intended, as I found players that were getting the benefits, obviously so by comparing our health bars.
Upon asking, the player who has 1/4 of his health missing at 2 Grims said he had about 20% corruption resistance. I was missing 2/3 of my health, which is standard for 2 Grims.
Obvious problem: there’s two corruption resistances and there’s no apparent reason why.
Obvious solution: update the corruption from grimoires to just corruption resistance. There’s frankly no reasons why there’s two distinct stats in this regard.
Its working, but the other way around, i’ve tested it myself, you need to use Corruption Resistance curios (normal) i tested it with a 12% corruption resistance and from 40 hp loss before any ticks, i got 36 hp loss
then i tested another curio with 20% corruption resistance (Grimoires) and before getting the grimoire i’ve been hit by a pox burster and it did very little corruption damage compared to the usual, then when i’ve got the grimoire i got corrupted for 40 hp as if i didn’t had any curios on me
these are my tests with the hp numbers
no curios 240 max hp 200 with grim 198 first tick 197 second tick
12% corruption resistance 240 max hp 204 with grim 203 first tick 202 second tick
20% corruption resistance (grimoires) 210 max hp like 21ish points of corruption after pox burster hit me, 170 max hp after healed and got the grimoire, 168 first tick
After my post I read around a bit; it seems that it “works as intended” however the way it works is not useful in a lot of circumstances. Grimoire Corruption is a DoT mechanic up to a limit and the corruption resistance seems to just slow the Damage part of the DoT. The general corruption resistance covers this DoT mechanic and corruption from other sources.
So having a higher corruption resistance doesn’t reserve a larger portion of your healthbar, as I recalled it doing in Vermintide 2.
