Crafting: Break items for materials?

I’ve learned hard way to NOT “clear inventory” based on any communication from FS until the changes they are talking about are actually implemented. Do you remember those couple weeks before Omnissiah Tools patch came out? When grey “combine blessings” button was teasing us for 2 months?
