It is incredibly disappointing that we didn’t get any changes in this department for the summer. Even some sort of small fix would’ve been greatly appreciated and shown, not said, that you were listening in some capacity.
Hopefully the game is in a better state for the Winter holidays.

Welp, acknowledging the problems and talking about them is a start I guess, but being unable to actually say anything concrete about it is the way it has been for half a year now, so…I’ll get excited when I see actual progress.
Crossplay is a necessary first step to getting xbox out though, which is incidentally also a necessary step for this game to finally start getting the same amount of regular content updates that its predecessor still gets to this day (the new VT2 maps are excellent, by the way, great job), so I’m happy about that too.

What you’re saying here is that FatShark has, in their infinite wisdom, decided to leave the game in it’s horrific anti-player state over summer. That you’re perfectly happy to continue to bleed players, and that any players coming back to the game, or exploring it for the first time during summer holidays, will slam their heads against the ineffable wall of RNG and anti-choice, and simply leave the game and never buy anything from FatShark ever again. How clever of you.
It’s also important to note that this is the first time you, FatShark, has even mentioned that these issues exist at all. For six months. The first time.
It’s also incredibly important to note that you, FatShark, have previously talked about how important player agency is, in the very same post you then went on to describe how RNG and locks would completely destroy any notion of player agency. Quite frankly, you can’t be trusted as far as a two year old could throw you. You also, in this very first time mentioning that these issues exist at all… Say absolutely nothing meaningful about them whatsoever. You’re talking about ‘changes’, which could mean anything at all. It could mean more RNG, and honestly, why would we think you’d do anything else?
You, FatShark, have shown yourselves to be capable of ideas so stupendously stupid that they might end up destroying your company reputation forever. Would it not perhaps be an idea to float your changes to the community for feedback, before you put out these ‘changes’? Is it possible that the universally negative feedback, the countless youtube videos, the articles on gaming sites - is it not possible that you should feel humbled enough to realize you have no frigging idea what you’re doing? That perhaps, for once, actually looking at feedback might be a good idea?
You sure do know how to keep dissappointing over and over, FatShark. The fact that you’re not dismantling the current locks and horrific RNG over summer while you work on something better is just mindblowingly stupid.

The balance of the game is in a pretty abysmal state at the moment. While we can wait and see what this patch changes, I wouldn’t tote this as something they have done well.

The game runs worse than even at launch for me and many others.
Each bug they fix they roll back later or oveshoot and bug it out again.
2 new maps, the first one released they carved out of the launch game because it wasnt ready.
Full new weapons? I have seen a lot of new marks. Which full new weapons?
The Cosmeticcs should have been there from the start, they took the cosmetic everyone wanted (shirtless) away again REAL fast too.
So you suck them off for, after 6 months, having moved 1 inch closer to a minimum viable product. That’s pathetic. You deserve better!

Yeah. I have nothing positive to say on this point. So I’m just going to stick with them even acknowledging that they have a plan to maybe come up with a plan to possibly propose a solution to the problem…is better than nothing.

The fact that they’re even considering blessing balance changes before going on summer vacation, with the current locks in place, speaks to how incredibly incompetent they are. They are guaranteed to both break something (make it OP or UP accidentally), and to ruin a blessing or two (on purpose) to the point that people will now feel they have useless items. To do that right before dissappearing for 1-2 months, with the locks in place, is so stupid I don’t even know what to say.

Thx… Finally… Crossplay is the most needed feature and that ASAP… Finally I can play with my steam buddys… I hope it will work as intended… And at least they mentioned (planned) changes for account based currencies, perk refinements, adjustments to crafting locks and options on the mission board.… Sounds promising (at least they acknowledged that points)… And it’s funny (or not really) that the majority of the comments here are again mostly negative… No wonder they don’t spoil anything what’s not safe… FS will be shredded right away no matter what is mentioned in the comm-link… Just pathetic

Maybe you’ve heard the community incorrectly… We don’t need ‘adjustments’ to the locking system, we want it gone completely or a complete and utter overhaul.

@FatsharkCatfish can we clarify on this new modifier, is it more akin to “Harder Better Faster Stronger” or “Vanguard” from Vermintide 2?
Can we fix loadouts? Thats a QoL I’m really missing with it breaking again.

Seriously… They won’t even acknowledge the calls for SOME sort of weapon attachment system. At the bare minimum at least give us a default body or helmet-mounted flashlight that is any good.
