Because Kriegers can be rather religious. The Krieg Zealot in the Veteran Guardsmen miniature set carries around a holy book and rosaries.
In the Krieg book they talk about having religious fetishes like bones of their fallen.
Having candles as part the God Emperor’s cult isn’t much of a stretch, especially when it’s ubiquitous in the Imperium of Man.

Edit 2: Forgot to add though, it do suck that you can see it in first person for some reason and the lights are misaligned 3rd person.

Ngl, all I want is a proper helmet + mask on any zealot skin. Most current zealot headpieces look like goofy skull masks and gimp hoods IMO.
It is a bit cartoonish, it just did the overlay mask well. The plastic helmet is really thick, the collar isn’t finished or quite right, and particularly the full eyepieces set wide apart, some of the same reasons why the Vet cosmetic looks like they modeled it off a cosplay like this instead of the actual minis.
A miracle that the Adeptus Sororatas enjoy.
That cosplay uses an actual French WW1 greatcoat, what the Krieg uniform is based off of.
FS might’ve referenced a lot of the stuff that the minis referenced rather than taking straight from the minis. But dunno.
You are right but the current zealot skin looks nothing like it. The problem is that its too far back on the mask. However I would like to have more variety on his uniforms, its was just a suggestion no need to get your panties in a bunch.

I hate how the candle ”light” floats in the air. Its makes them look like they are disconnected from the armor and the whole operative model. This should be fixed hopefully soon.

The mask itself is worse because the gas masks are misproportioned from the get go. Which i dont like for any of the sets but i think it works adequately for zealots mask.

Have you guys seriously never bought those self-relighting gag candles for birthday parties?
Also i am in the i love candles on my zealot cosmetics camp but i hate how they’re frequently visible in first person and offset from the whick.

Well it’s more like how they don’t drop off from the armor, but i suppose it could be not real candles but some device that emulates them.
