So the new darktide update with he new map reminded me of the carnival of chaos which made a appearance in the bogerhafen dlc but it was only in mention.
I would love to see 2 new maps centered around this carnival where we get to see its full glory.
My idea was that a circus of chaos cultists were celebrating the creation of a new plague or the summoning of a demon. The u5 job would be to stop them beffore they could fully do it and kill the Carnival Master.
First map would be in a town where they were last seen this would be similar to bogerhafen but chaos tentacles and such would be all over the place the objective would simply be to find this circus or festival ( there is a lot they could do with the carnival lore)
For the second map they would find the circus fight their way threw the chaos cultists until they reach the sorcerer that is heavily mutated.
I hope for future maps they bring more visual interesting things like more fireworks, lean more into the chaos filth like tentacles, pig abominations and such.
I just hope the next maps arent just more of the same or very samey looking places like a simple bretonian town or castle.

Carnival of Chaos is a canon lore thing in Warhammer, mostly associated with Mordheim unless I’ve got it wrong.
But a map series based on this would be cool. Although a new Skaven lord enemy to face would also be pretty cool.
I just hope they show more demonic visuals be that chaos or skaven.
More grimdark is always welcome something beautiful in a horrific way
