Can we have Scoreboards?

Like the Title says, can we have scoreboards?

We cant. We need to respect the feelings of players who are always the lowest scoring in the game. Imagine how they feel, always being the worst!

The removal of the scoreboards was SUCH a dumb decision.
A solution to a problem that didn’t exist by creating a new one that didn’t need to be there.
Everyone I play with is very annoyed at not being able to see how they did at the end of a round, why is it such a secret???

They said they are working on it. But at this point I don’t know what that means anymore with FS.
I get the feeling that it’s not in their priority list and won’t be any time soon. Hope I’m wrong tho.

Dude, relax.
This is their first game and they have to figure out scoreboards, it’s not so simple. Nobody wants to end up with something that might confuse players with all the numbers.
How were they supposed to know that players would want some way of knowing how they did in a run?
I’m sure replay functionality is around the corner anyway, so you can learn from your mistakes from that.

How many other features, now standard in Vermintide 2, are we going to have to wait for?

Wouldn’t auto-block be nice if you stopped to chat?

Pretty sure we’ll see that in year 2.

they have say there will be one that premots team play (what that is we don’t know)

Hopefully it’s not at the top of their priority list right now, they have much bigger fish to fry.

Like taking RNG out of player progression and map selection.

Did they even say they were working on it, or did they say it was on the docket?

Because if it’s on the docket or the “to do” list, in Fatshark lingo, that could mean that yes, it’s on the list, and no, it doesn’t mean that they ever actually have to work on it.

If mods were allowed we’d have scoreboards by now.

Just saying.

They can do more than 1 thing at once, you know. I think. And for me, give me the scoreboard and full crating system and the rest I can wait.

Did they even say they were working on it, or did they say it was on the docket?

Last that I saw they said it wouldn’t be ready in time for launch, but they were working on the best way to implement it.

Yep, mods only in our dreams now.

Is that sarcasm? I really hope so. Can’t really tell anymore with so many crazies around here.

The way things are going, I think you may be right.

I feel like the majority of the player base want the scoreboard. We have been complaining about it since the first beta they had. They’ve been quiet on the issue the entire time. The consensus is that we have to protect the fragility of the bad players. Don’t want to make them think they have to improve at an aspect of a game.

All the had to do was copy and paste the VT2 scoreboard.

You mean that 50 guys here posting every day the same? Of course they represent the many thousands just playing the game…

They´ve been buggy as hell especially on clients.

I heard they were having devs imported from bf2042. They invented the scoreboard!

Talked with quite a few people outside the forums that also want scoreboards.

My friends like to get competitive in games sometimes so it would be nice to have a measurement of that.

Hell they did in Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, a breakdown of kills, damage, etc. It still exists in Vermintide 2. People like seeing their stats, a good majority of people. Not saying everyone, but the majority is used to being able to see their own performance.

Imagine this, what if the weapons implemented didn’t have numbered stats, or any stats that you could see. Add on top of that, you couldn’t see the blessings or perks of the weapons. You have just color coded guns, and you know Green is better then grey, blue is better then green, purple is better than blue, and gold is better than purple.

But how are they better? What makes these weapons better? Why would you invest in consecration if you didn’t know how a weapon was getting better? What would you be refining? How do I know if this gun is better without feedback? And before you mention Psykhanium, the damage numbers, also hidden. You get no measurement of how well you are doing with a particular weapon other than potential visual feedback, which really doesn’t help when you have 3 other people all doing the same thing you are, which is killing heretics. How do I know if my Psyker’s Voidstrike attack cleared the horde, or if it was the Veteran’s grenade that did the work? How do I know if my Ogryn really tanked as much damage as I thought they did to save the team if the Zealot beside me was doing the exact same thing?

I hope you can see my point.

I would 100% be happy with just a personal scoreboard, just displaying my own stats, but it seems like we might not even get that.

Sorry we cannot, scoreboards are apparently anti-teamwork and toxic. On other hand penances and inability to change your class on the map loading screen really help team cohesion and teamwork

You´ll know how a weapon or skill performs by using the testcenter especially if you go for breakpoints.

I know your point, but it isn´t even close as accurate to judge about whatever you believe, even if we would´ve a 99,9% balanced game.

  • Some weapons are better single-target, other multitarget.
  • Some classes are better at elite-killing, others for specials, the 3rd just supports the team.
  • Spawns will be differently from run to run.
  • etc…

There are so many factors not being taken into account and it´s just not possible to do. All what you can see at such scoreboards if e.g. “the special-killer class did his job, because he killed the doubled amount of specials than anyone else.”.
But maybe he just stood behind the group and did nothing else than that? Or maybe it could´ve been the tripled amount, but it lacked spawns, or they pretty much spawned in the frontline due to map-differences?
Also “tanking damage”… it´s the best to have like 0 damage.

I guess you can see my point on them…

Nothing against personal scoreboards, but i do believe ppl give them way too much weight and yes, they can bring more toxicity or force rushing / “Those are my kills!” - behaviour. The true heros are mostly that ones saving your back while you slay the horde and you´ll never know it, cause they gonna have way less “green circles”.

Also everyone should be able at some point to mention if they have been useful or not. Just stay alive, dodge more disablers than getting caught and help your teammates… or better play somewhat together anyway so nobody need help.

A penance with 100% accuracy requirement but no accuracy statistics after a round or in the hub.
