Brutal Momentum change

When did Brutal Momentum no longer remove damage falloff on remaining targets after a headshot? I didn’t notice until today, feels useless on power sword now.

It was changed to ignore the hit mass of a max of three targets and give first target damage to a max of four targets a while ago.

I’d use Sunder in the other slot, more reliably hit cleave cap on every swing and avoid having hits nullified by cleave stop. It feels pretty sweet killing ragers without being thwarted by that bulwark shield.

I was aware of this, but it no longer has first target damage on secondary targets when you headshot

It does. You just have to kill the first target for the damage to carry over - otherwise regular cleave damage falloff applies.

I was testing in psykanium, dreg bruiser gets headshot and dies, scab bruiser gets headshot and takes 699 and lives, they should both die

Talents as such do not carry over.

699 isnt enough to kill a scab bruiser on damnation+

That’s not my point, my point is due to cleave damage falloff, the second target isn’t dying like it used to. Brutal Momentum used to give the same first target damage to the next 3 targets in the swing if they all got headshot but it doesn’t do that anymore, and I don’t remember seeing it in patch notes.

it seems to be working just fine for me so im not sure then

I’ve been gaslit because weapon customization changes random unrelated things in the psykanium. I turned it off and it’s working how I remember it
