Bring back old weaves or make a new season. Half a $20 dlc is completely abandoned. Please fix this.
I kinda rather they go back to fix some fundamental problems with the weaves first
Namely the lack of incentives to go in as the rewards aren’t anything special or unique.
The inability to bring bots with us outside of QuickPlay
And worse of all is the general imbalance in the weaves. Some are well done like Gold, Light, etc. which is equal parts buff and debuff.
But some like Shadow, Beast, and Life are exercises in frustration as they feel particularly unfair since there’s nothing to counteract their debuffs. Like with Beast wind, maybe destroying the totems should grant a sizable buff to you.
I see what you are saying, however I believe that weaves are simply fun to play and I know many other people who feel the same way. I do not play them for the rewards I play them to have fun. As for the difficulty I also find that enjoyable and not too overbearing. The point of weaves is to be difficult.
However, I don’t think weaves are perfect. I think the point you made about bots is a good one. True solos are very hard. Many people who can beat weaves with a team can’t even beat a legend true solo let alone cata 3+. I know I can’t.
Oh I don’t mind the difficulty too much, I just find the only -debuff weaves to be tedious without being any more engaging. I’d be fine if they upped the difficulty of those weaves as long as they incorporate an element that benefits the players too.
Light, Heavens, and Death weaves scratches that hit of dopamine when you make it work to your benefit. Like the elements clearly help the enemies more than they benefit you most of the time, but being able to twist it to benefit you just feels more satisfying than a simple “screw you players”.
