Yeah going around in circles ad nauseam can be… Tiresome.
Fighting bugs is definitely more fun than fighting automatons. I don’t feel any fun when fighting automatons.
THere are also a plethora of news outlets pointing to AH’s rapidly declining player count exacerbated by the Sony incident, as well as the software bugs, balancing issues, etc. etc.
The average online rate of player for HD2 has definitely dropped, particularly since the beginning of April.
That said, it’s still bringing averaging more online players at any given moment than Darktide has seen since its launch day, usually 10-15x whatever the current online Darktide player count is.
Must be very hard to take game seriously during mission like this!
As a casual player for HD2 - Every time I log in there is always new gear. I have fallen far behind in the Warbonds. I’m hoping they will take a summer break so I can catchup maybe
I wish there was a testing ground so I can test new gear/strategems to get a feel for them before diving in a mission.
The Scientists on Moradesh are working with Illuminate Dark Fluid. Helldivers will utilise the Dark Fluid in order to create a black hole with the sole purpose of neutralising the Meridia Supercolony.
I didn’t see the reference guy in the first picture at first, so I thought in the second picture he was like a key chain figure lol. I do worry that it will be the same case with other orbitals/Eagle strats that cross over, with Eagles just being a straight upgrade.
Additionally the Autocannon Mech is supremely dissapointing. It has the same AP value as the Autocannon Sentry which is awesome but it has the lowest structure damage of all 3 autocannons in the game. This means for things like shooting tanks in the vent compared to the normal auto cannon, or shooting Chargers/Bile Titans to the face compared to the Sentey Autocannon it has abysmal preformance.
Pair that with low ammo and no good way to clear trash and it’s very dissapointing. Especially since it looks awesome.
I loved the Patriot Exosuit, until they gutted its rocket and made the aiming worse because they hate fun. Eman has these same issues while having worse guns.
On it’s own, I’d agree the ammo count is too low, it feels very limited.
That said, when it’s a free Stratagem that everyone can roll with, it certainly made the Helldive an easier run, and with two or three running at once it was trivial to cut down just about anything. With the low ammo count, it was easy to hop in, dump the magazines, and move on before you could sit on the mech long enough to get blown up.
When they move it into general rotation however, I’d really want to see it have a substantially boosted magazine capacity.
i don’t get this comparison… That game looks awful. Darktide has some of the most impressive looking visuals ever seen and that is only additional to the most intense gameplay in the world. I agree with the weapon management though it really sucks now, also agree with the psyker nerfs, they were not needed and the performance is unstable, devs can’t fix it even after 2 years.
The comparison is because it’s another 4 person coop shooter made with the same core game engine by a studio walking distance from Fatshark’s front door, that typically averages more online players than Darktide has ever had outside its launch day, and has put out more new enemies and weapons and missions and content in 3 months than Darktide has in 18.
