Issue Type (Required):
Error - Backend Error
Issue Description (Required):
I get a “Backend error” every time I try to log in. If I turn off Amnesia Warp, it lets me reach the character creation screen, but I still can’t load into the game (Error 2014); if I enable Warp at that stage, the error changes to 3013. Could this be an account-level block?

Sorry to hear this @Thalnotte
We checked your account and there is no ban, block or restriction on it.
From your log, we can see our servers are accepting your login and other requests. The data indicates an issue in the connection between your PC and our servers. UDP traffic, which the game needs for matchmaking and for joining the hub, is not getting through.
Please try fully quitting Amnesia Warp and any other VPN, proxy or ‘network optimizer’ tools. Then, make sure Windows Firewall and any antivirus allow Darktide through - adding appropriate exceptions may help - and please try again.
If it still fails, next can you try temporarily switching to a mobile data hotspot connection and testing to see if the Backend Error triggers? If it does not, this can determine that the issue is network/ISP-related. If you do still encounter Backend Error with mobile data, please could you then provide your console log from that session, so we can take a look for comparison?
Please let me know, thanks!
mobile hotspot not working too (logs include)
and disabling windows firewall, and port forwarding all available upd and tcp
if i disable all vpn and Warp config i’ve got error 3013, 2014 or 3001
with warp config there is no error, only cant connet to server

Well, i think i got it
Turn on warp amnesia with right config and delete steam.exe from exeptions
That works for me, but I really don’t understand why only Darktide required `steam.exe` to be excluded from the VPN, while other projects didn’t.
But if it works, let it work… I suppose.
@Thalnotte thanks for the update - glad you’re back in!
The hotspot log shows the same pattern as before, with our backend answering every request received, and failures sitting on the network path. However, the mobile hotspot log had some differences with no initial UDP or DNS failures this time. The first UDP exchange worked, but the join stalled after.. which we’re unsure of why.
A theory (not fact) with why it’s potentially working with Warp now on, with the right config and steam.exe removed from exceptions; could be that Warp’s per-app exceptions left traffic for Darktide to take a different route from steam.exe. Assuming the cause here was how traffic was being routed. The earlier log also fits that, but we can’t definitively say for sure.
If it breaks again, I recommend checking your Warp exceptions first, and to keep steam.exe out of any VPN/split-tunnel exclusion list while you play.
