Yeah got this happening on steam right now too.

It was right after I finished a mission, it disconnected me from the strike team, then got a bunch of errors when trying to rejoin them. I quit the game to just try and restart it but then I started getting this error.

Does anyone know what the cause of this is? It was fine for like 4 hours prior to this bs

There appears to be a geographic element to this. I’m in the UK and had a friend near Michigan experiencing this. I have Nord VPN and took the following steps:

Attempted to connect from UK servers without VPN: worked.
Attempted to connect from Chicago, Illinois Nord VPN Servers: Got the error shown in the post
Attempt to connect from New York, New York Nord VPN Servers: Got in successfully
Swapped back to Chicago: Got the error.
Used UK Nord VPN servers: Got in.

It seems to be something to do with the servers in that region of the USA.

That’s odd, my friend who is maybe an hour away wasn’t having these problems. And when I looked at the end of the log I did notice this

Not sure if it could be crashing due to a shader cache builder process but its one of the things I read

Potentially! I can only report what I tried and that my friend managed to connect using a VPN set to another area of the US.

I can all but confirm that this is a localized thing, I live right on the edge of Michigan/indiana and would be connecting to Chicago. Well i booted up a VPN like michael had hinted at, and swapped over to NY, connected just fine.

so without using a VPN there’s not much I can do huh? guess I’ll just wait until they fix it.

Just tried logging in after reinstalling the game and was able to get to my character select screen, not sure if reinstalling fixed it or if the ISP issue cleared up.

Could anybody on Steam provide us with their most recent console logs please?

well i didn’t crash, it just booted me out of my strike team when this all started, but i can post a few of the console logs
