(ANSWERED) 14 000 aquilas to new XBOX Store players, are you serious?

is there reason to?

Why be loyal to a group of devs that seem to care only for the whales of the player base?

I’ve heard many times that people, who were dissatisfied with this dev’s move was calling themselfs “loyal”, something like “how could they do this with their most loyal audience” i’m kinda lazy to search specific messages, but i did saw them, and ye, theres no reason to be loyal, but it’s kinda funny how most loyal audience became most hateful at this point. Don’t you think?

Only one step between love and hate

True

People would still complain, especially if it was just a low effort thing for the sake of ticking a “seasonal event” box. I don’t care too much for seasonal events - they’re fine, unless they’re trying to shoehorn in some weird gameplay mechanics, but their absence wouldn’t bother me. I’d honestly prefer the time be put towards fixing stuff and long-term efforts

Something is still better then nothing is it not?

That’s what they thought with crafting.

That one step was 11 months in the making tho

I mean crafting is still better then what it was before, Yes it could be better but it’s still better then what we had before

Damn, that got a chuckle out of me. Caught me by surprise :joy:

You son of a b that caught me off guard. Got a hearty chuckle out of me

About caught by surprise btw, what this about?

XD who told him twitch drops had them, That’s the first time I’m hearing about this and I got all of the Darktide twitch drops they had

Fatshark stated a few times that the cash shop having a funny money layer was so that they could give away aquilas as prizes and twitch drops… which as far as I can tell has never happened.

Dam never knew they did that I just remember them giving out those skins when the game was in beta I think that looked like crap, Don’t think I ever used them once after getting them

I doubt they care about whales because they only rotate one page of the store every other week instead of having everything available with new creations rotated in.

In most F2P or B2P games with cash shops, they have “standard” offerings such as outfits, weapons, mounts, and so on that are always available for purchase, and then they rotate in new stuff on top every week or whatever their rotation timer is set to.

I would not classify myself as a whale, but I frequently buy one piece from sets, such as a pair of pants or a chestpiece, to use for cosmetics mix-and-match, and there is a lot of stuff in the gamefiles that I am very interested in but has not yet been made available to players.

REALLY not a well thought out plan by FS management. It was likely one person’s idea to do something nice for one segment of their customer base (a form of discrimination) without any thought for the ramifications. Or, they knew what would come next and just didn’t care. Either way a poor management decision.

Indeed. And no company deserves loyalty. Each and every one of us speak for one person and one person only. Ourselves. We do not represent the customer base as a whole and they have the metrics to prove it.

Not in any meaningful way. We still have bags full of crap that we have to compare without a good UI to remove junk. It’s stil an RNG hellscape. I have tons of mats and my bags are bursting with guns of the same type, but I have stoped caring (except I spend an unhealthy amount of time on these forums).

One gun of each type. Grind for upgrades to these guns. modifying guns with acquired upgrades must be as trivial as modifying your talent tree with acquired talent points.

Off topic but go look at the “new” skins they made for vet that really made me mad just now
