Which is why I don’t take cdr on my curios even though people swear it’s necessary, goated, poggers, meta and all the rest. -3 seconds on 30 second cooldown lol no thanks, only ult where it makes a difference imo is pbb.
Bro… you’re literally losing your mind over a 5-second nerf to the gold, which is totally reasonable knowing also that ‘Only in Death Does Duty End’ doesn’t have any downfalls anymore. Meaning you can res anybody instantaneously, plus you can also res multiple people at a time if they’re all within proximity, it’s mega clutch city right there. That’s also another reason why they set it back 5-seconds because that sht is OP within itself or at the very least incredibly strong. Think things through a bit before you type anything. Also, you’re getting ratioed pretty hard on this that speaks volumes.
It is still too strong…
Personally, I love that Veteran is “weak” (he isn’t) right now because we already have so many superpowered/super soldier classes that it feels good and immersive to play a “regular guy” for once.
Obviously, this means that you have to avoid playing with VoC and every other superpower crutch that Veteran has.
Its’ for the same reason that I like Scum conceptually, although Fatshark messed up with Scum by making Pickpocket and the Stimms (lab) immersion breaking because both abilities turns you into “you’re that guy” instead of being just a random gangster.
Just let me be a normal, everyday Hive urchin instead of “the best”.
Reign in the power fantasy in this game a bit.
what really made a difference between a clutch and a fail was putting 3x assist speed on curios and taking skills like providence on zealot or for the lil’uns on ogryn.
Imagine people getting mad over 5-seconds while getting gold & auto-res with no downfalls. Insane. Already saved a few games just because of that new feature. I used to love the 61% (1.4 seconds) revive speed on Zealot & still do of course, but now Vet has it for literally at the cost of one point as well & it takes literally no time at all, it’s within the snap of your fingers now & they’re still complaining, lmao… ![]()
I blame generation:” I want to speak to the manager” when earlier the “Hausordnung” was a baseball bat or axe hanging behind the counter.
back then people didn’t complain as much, I wonder why ![]()
Revive speed is mandatory
You cannot change my mind
I played with you in the top video, I’m Ermac. This must’ve been a few seasons back with rotten? Small world…
Yup, with the thammer changes, zealot rework, and revive speed changes that update brought all being used at once for the climb that season
There is such thing it will be quite hard for you guys but I have faith!!
Adapt; simple as that.
They still need to make gold toughness not deny overheads, snipers, bursters and dogs
I might be a bit ego right now, but I’d prefer they removed gold toughness entirely from the game.
Filling the toughness meter up is ok with me, but getting damage immunity and AoE CC for free is a little too good.
Giving overhead the ability to oneshot players thru block might have been a good idea at start, but is actively hampering your options to engage havoc clowncars. When you have 6 maulers / crushers taking turns trying to squish you desynched, you can be the most mechanically gifted tide god, you will die insta from time to time on anything not named Ogryn or arbites regardless.
I love melee, I have over 8k hours in tide games, but when rotten crushers start iceskating around with their overlapping swings, even I will take a step back and disengage from melee on anything not a dedicated frontline, the risk is simply not worth it. For that reason only, I don’t mind overtoughness circumventing it.
Fatshark seems to love Perfect Block as a blessing/talent trigger now (maybe one of the new team leads plays a lot of Soulslikes) so I would accept overtoughness no longer circumventing it if they allowed players to Perfect Block said strikes.
That or reduced the clown cars back to reasonable levels while nerfing player power, but you know my Carthago delenda est speech by now.
How is this cringefest tolerated for so long?
I don’t dislike gold toughness as a concept
Being a good shield against gunners, ragers, bombers and flamers is ok in my book
Now it basically denying overheads, snipers, bursters and dogs is completely stupid
having your “quality takes” around, one might wonder ![]()
It’s not that big of a nerf, in havoc 40 it still cools down fast enough that you can use it a lot. So in the games hardest difficulty it’s still the no brain pick.
I agree it wasn’t a big enough nerf to actually push players to use something else though.
