I’d like to make 2 points in response:
1: by time a kick vote is seen and goes through, the damage could very well already be done.
2: lets suppose I am a psyker who doesnt care about ammo. The vets are getting shafted, keep voting to kick, and I keep hitting no because I am ignorant of their plight. All thats left for them is to leave, leaving me stuck with a bad rando and two bots… so I leave. I just wasted 5 to 20 minutes of my time for no reward. I’d have been better off playing checkers against myself.
It exactly is that, they don’t accept the game is a hybrid and try to impose their preference at the expense of other players, becase “mah fun” is all that matters.
SM2 and DT community is like night and day. There is a weird paradox that SM2 while being less complex has a more cooperative players. I would expect for people to be more casual, but no, rarely i’ve seen lootgoblins grabing all stimms, relics or nades. Everyone is tagging everything and give thanks.
Also, i keep parroting that but having a universal ammo type in the game like DT where guns are so different in roles - anti armor, hordeclearing, low ammo cap precise, etc. is a mistake.
If there were a system that spawns ammo depending on guns presisting in a run would be much better. Ogryn with rumbler, zealot with flamer and vet with plasma wouldn’t compete with eachother.
Cause ammo stealing is a problem when 3-4 players play range a lot. It’s not a problem when it’s 2. So decreasing the ammount of players that compete for the same ammo box can remove that problem.
Like in Dead Space game spawns ammo for the weapons in your loadout.
Or just remove/decrease ammo pickups at all and place ammo stashes that works like medicae stations but their charges aren’t shared between the players, everyone has his own charge so noone can robe or troll you.
