AMD's FSR

Dear Fatshark,

I´ll just go straight to the core of my request,
which would be for you to implement AMD’s new FidelityFX Super Resolution upscaling renderer.

It apparently takes only minimal effort to implement,
especially when compared to Nvidia’s DLSS.

It would be a noticeable improvement for people with lower end GPUs,
especially for those who may struggle to upgrade with the current GPU market.

YES I need this too and really I do need it I don’t just want it. I use a laptop with an AMD CPU and I run vermintide 2 with integrated graphics I get anywhere from 5 to 20 fps I tried all the tricks I could and could barely raise my fps any higher. My only hope is AMD FSR they say it can work on all AMD processors so it would be a big help for me and a few of my friends that have low fps. And I’m sure there are many other people that would love this feature. So Fatshark PLEASE I NEED THIS IT MIGHT TAKE LIKE A FEW HOURS AT MOST I THINK TO IMPLEMENT THIS PLEASE it will make up for the weaves imo.

Related: I’m currently using FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS) in Vermintide 2. It looks better than the game’s built-in sharpening algorithm. I’m using it on an Nvidia card through ReShade.

Good news: Fatshark added AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution with the Warrior Priest update, Patch 4.5.0, which will work even on non-AMD cards.

Bad news: You need to enable TAA for it to work. I prefer FXAA due to its lower performance hit on my old low-end GPU. Back 4 Blood, another game that supports AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, allows you to use it with FXAA.

It seems that it’s possible to have FSR active with FXAA if you edit the user_settings file. However, there must be a reason for why this is not possible directly in the game

I tried editing the .config file. It seems that if I enable FXAA (and disable TAA), FidelityFX Super Resolution will be automatically disabled the next time I start the game.

Even with TAA enabled, I think it’s a very great addition by Fatshark!
I have a friend that played with the potato mode and now can play with acceptable frames and without setting the graphic to an old NES game. So thank you FS! Really thank you!
