I usually play with premades on discord and not being able to start QP in private often means a random player taking a slot really quickly which can also happen after a premade player I was playing with randomly gets disconnected thanks to this game’s quality networking. Having to vote-kick that random player in order to allow a friend to rejoin is not fun and it’s stupid.

So that’s why this keeps happening. I kept wondering why people didn’t just set their games to private, but ofc then you miss out on QP rewards and the game picking a random map for you.
I have to agree with this suggestion from usually being on the joining end - I usually play solo (or duo).

get “host your own games” mod it should allow you to start QP games no matter the quantity of players

Yes, but they are still public until you set them private when you spawn on the map.
That’s more than enough time for someone connecting.
