QQ, kinda related? Is Nippon actually GW canon? I saw some fanmade rulebooks/adventures on it, but nothing canon.
Nippon was canon, and actually had more things than Cathay, but was abandonned like how Araby and Cathay were.
Of the Side factions, before CA’s TWW, I would say that i term of lore, Kislev>Border Princess/South Kingdom>Nippon/Araby>Cathay/Pigmies>Others
But Waystones (both elven and human ones) don’t go that far afaik, it’s why for example they have to do longer trips into the chaos waste. It’s usually due to the Waystone being destroyed or lacking power from the Caster.
Additionally at this moment, Cathay is being taken over by Tzeentchian forces and Nippon never got any ET lore iirc
@Exanimia Nippon even had some Games Workshop miniatures.
Nippon is canon, it is just, they didn’t made an official army.
But it exist in the world of Warhammer.
Like Estalia, Cathay, Amazons, Fimir, etc.

This would be fun! I would go with an Adventure in Cathay, with a hero from there to boot.
