All that sounds like way too much hard work and Iām feeling really determinationally-challenged so can we just get a mod to kill anything that comes within 2 meters of the player? I would have killed the enemies anyway so this just cuts out all that inconvenient āparticipationā. It would just be QoL OC.

I donāt know whats wrong with you Fatshark and your desire to discover America when it comes to these things, so lets clear that outā¦
If Amerigo Vespucci or Columbus or some nameless Northmen on a drakkar were like you, we would have never discovered the new world. They would have capsized and drowned in the middle of the Atlantic due to general mediocrity and barely middling competences, albeit one could assume it would take them longer than usual due to the need to take at least two vacations before its done!
Now thatās cleared out i have a suggestion.

Look outside for solutions and copy them from your betters (which should be remarkably easy because there are hundreds of them out there)!

Huh 2m? I was gonna do 8m (IYKYK) but 2m seems more balanced. Should it be like a death aura or maybe just a frontal 90Ā° arc? NM, it will be a mod options slider going from 360 to 90, #convenience.
It will also complete scans/puzzles automagically within that radius, but as a balancing approach, 1/10 times it will play a clip of j_sat admonishing you for using solver if @DornIvanotic can provide us a soundbite (seriously, we need this clip).
I have much Lua-ing todo, please keep suggesting these great QoL/accessibility features, we need to raise awareness for the determinationally challenged.

I see the argument, but two things:
Sure, it can hamper my or your fun if someone can shoot heads easily with a mod by āstealing killsā. But as enemies are bullet sponges and this is a co-op game first, this impact is minimal. Sure, it might make for an easy run/game once, but overall the harm is minimal. That depends on how competitive you think this game is (please stop, btw, thatās more harmful than cheats).
And second: if we start to force the devs to police mods, we can just shut modding down completely.
No matter what a mod does, there is a no-fun-allowed, stuck-up purist Karen who will report it. Itās just a slippery slope: first we remove the wallhacks, then the weapon modding, then the scoreboard, then the intro skip, and so on.
As I just stated: just leave it as is, the 20 people who are mad about it can get over it. Any changes will create more harm than any mod could, especially given how low the overall impact is. If someone truly wants to cheat, they wouldnāt use mods anyway. So punishing or cracking down on modability in a PvE game is a waste of resources and harms customers as collateral.
They are currently mad because they can transparently see a way of altering oneās gameplay by getting an advantage. What they donāt see are cheats and hacks that donāt even parade around on frequented sites like Nexus Mods. And I donāt see any topics about ārealā cheaters that donāt add any meaningful mechanic to the game, just blatant wallhacks and/or aimbots. This is overall ridiculous and fueled by too much information and accessibility for uneducated users.
youāre missing the point by the size of a great unclean ones ass.
at one point this aint about āwinning ā, if you made proper progress and learned the game from the ground up, thatās a given.
itās about a steady increase of your own skills until you can reliably solo any situation at the final state of your journey.
if someone comes along and soils the experience and ātestā to the point of getting mundane, the whole motivation for playing in the first place is gone.
these 3 other randoms arenāt my buddies, comrades or whatever.
yes we are cooperating, yet they are variables that shift and move an encounter one way or the other to keep engagements fresh.
that doesnāt mean I feel accomplished if someone else undeservedly clears an otherwise interesting encounter by cheap-shtting his way through when he otherwise wouldnāt be able to.
any one having to use such pansy means doesnāt deserve to be in that spot in the first place.
the least one could have is a list of mods the competition is using so one can opt out of the cheaty ones and put em on the block list.
and as for the āthis isnāt a pvp gameā well all the more d!ckless having to stoop to these low levels then, no?

Another cheater in the thread arguing from bad faith. These people should be banned. This is the only game I know of that openly tolerates this.

It really isnāt, this isnāt about removing mods itās about removing cheats and while some people might disagree about what is a cheat or not this thread is about a litteral wallhack and wallhack is objectivly a cheat.
