While I dont respect people as much who use such mods and the worse the mod the less respect I have… I dont think its ruining the game. I always laugh when I see someones gameplay on youtube and they have a plethora of mods that show barrel and burster aoes etc because it makes me lose respect for the run even if they show genuine skill. In some ways its worse, because they CAN play properly but they sadly feel they need that crutch to do better.
Personally, I think one of the best players on youtube is actually our very own @Index !

Maybe you should read up on this “grim dark war game” you’re playing before sharing your biased preferences? I’m not even a die-hard Warhammer fan, and I knew of the Adepta Sororitas, aka the SISTERS of Battle, and how terrifying they are on the battlefield.
Not to defend cheaters (lame snivellers) but I honestly think all the overpowered crap ruins the game more than any cheat does. Every game I’ve had lately has been infested by soulblaze psykers it sucks
I know 40k has women, pretty much every combat game includes women, but it’s never been a big deal to me; it’s just a small part of the game. Though, having preferences doesn’t equal bias.
People also have romantic preferences; just because someone likes men doesn’t mean they’re biased against women.

Indeed. Knowing what enemies are coming doesn’t keep people who can’t fight from getting trampled by these enemies. It makes their performance look even poorer though.

the “goal” of my gameplay clips is indeed
a watchable experience you can pass a boring 30 minutes with and enjoy the gameplay rather than a number bombardment
and if people find it enjoyable to watch, it served it’s purpose
oddly enough since I can’t churn out 4 vids a day due to not being at home and having to preload to around january, youtube algorithm is giving me the in terms of almost no views
but maybe it’s because I don’t comment (then again if I watch content it’s for the game not some smalltalk) and concentrate on gameplay only, who knows
It was on-topic to what you told @Khorne_Dawg: you framed it like women and feminine men don’t “fit” the setting, which just isn’t how 40k works. And comparing that to romantic preferences doesn’t really work, since choosing who you date isn’t the same as wanting whole groups removed from a fictional world. That’s why people read it as bias, not just a preference. Anyway, there’s no point in continuing to derail the actual thread any further, so that’s all I’m saying on it.
The amount of self-gaslighting that goes into players and especially streamers thinking they’re good because they use all the cheaty mods would make the most potent Ork psychic gestalt field pale in comparison.
It’s eye-rolling cringe at best, “hey viewers, look how good I am <DODGE NOW !!!>”, do they lack self-awareness? Self-respect? Both? I’d be embarrassed to even showcase these vids as a brand-new player, let alone a seasoned vet showcasing their skillz.
And on a related note, BF6’s plugging of month-long game-breaking exploits a couple of weeks ago was a huge boon, but OFC a few found and shared a new exploit on a map involving parkouring around broken map invisible barriers, cheaters gonna cheat yo, it cost nothing to call them out.
As before and here, the excuses they make for their cheats are predictably tired as they are 3 decades old and debunked back then. It’s hilarious to see the newer gens re-hash the same old lame excuses, but again, the increased level of apathy from their victims boggles the mind.
Eugh! I watched one the other day with that stuff. They were genuinely a good player so it irked me muchly. Kinda taints the viewing pleasure for me, much like cheating taints the win in games for me.
Cheats are fun and all when playing solo but I would feel ashamed to put that stuff online for sure unless it had disclaimers all over it stating “this is pure fun, Im cheating” etc
I modded Rimworld with 40K stuff and went a bunch of OP Eldar, gave myself all types of different armour and guns and messed around for a while trying stuff out. Was great fun and the aim was to see whats what, not to gain a feeling of accomplishment.
Good old “given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game”.
People make the fun of modern slop with yellow paint, huge red arrow pointing towards quest objective. Like those Ubi games UI elements are made for imbeciles.
Then some people get access to mods and put every possible indicator, visible zones and areas, hints for the stuff you can learn just by playing the game and become more expirienced.
Ogryn specced into point blank and burst limit, rumbler explosive build. Neglecting every barrel at team mate’s demise. He didn’t need much ammo to run with that build. Once again example of big damage output but a player not being able to protect himself. 3 same medstation taps, medkit on himself only.
Straight leave mission for me. I don’t think they’ll ever change this.
Honesty things like this put me off the game I think what is the point of buying new class DLC if past things are not balanced. I mean not everything of course, but at least the more obvious ones like above.
Makes me feel they’ll roll new classes as DLC but it will build backlog of unbalance like taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back of not being able to keep up. The list will grow.
Really can be ubisoft game. Imagine not seeing the obvious way a Crusher raises his massive maul in the air but need a red circle to indicate timing and area of effect…

I’m aware that 40k includes women and feminine men (most war games do), but that aspect has never been important to me. That doesn’t mean I expect 40k to be tailored to my tastes alone.
Just as people have preferences in other areas of life, including romance, we naturally have preferences in the media we enjoy.
Maybe we can make a Servo-skull assistant mod to, IDK. shine light on mobs. But why stop there? Maybe it can also auto-tag form. Hmm I think it should also display HP bars so I can keep track of mobs and let me know the order I should target them in. Oh, idea! I’m tired of having to look around to see at the mobs through the walls, can I have that information presented to me as a radar? And I need to be told when to dodge. Oh and after 50 hours, I’m really tired of having to look around for supplies, I’d love to be able to see them through walls and closed boxes, just like IRL.
Gonna get to coding this mod right now, I’ll keep y’all apprised of my progress.
